Bids on ebaY at $2,100,100 and climbing with 5 hours to go on the auction of the Harry Reid letter signed by 40 other liberal democrat Senators that attempted to smear Rush Limbaugh...   Big mistake Harry...  Big, Big Mistake.

Wow, $2.1 million could buy ol'Druggie Limbaugh a shitload of Oxycontin.
Maybe he could take a shitload of oxycontin and then badmouth Lindsay Lohan for taking drugs.  Yeah, that seems to be the party line these days.

All proceeds are being donated to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation. Limbaugh is matching the final bid out of his pocket.

Brian, are you finding it difficult to admit that Harry Reid and 40 Senators were way out of line?

The whole congress is out of line, bro.

I think congressional members micro-managing the airwaves is just as out of line as congressional members micro-managing my bedroom, or my school.

Druggie Limbaugh is a hypocrite.  He personally said that drug users should go to jail.  He also said the ACLU is the enemy.
Now, the ACLU is defending ol'druggie due to his fraud and drug use.

now THATS hypocritical.

I'm not going to agree or disagree with you on Limbaugh because his drug use is not the issue here. The issue is a personal smear of a private citizen by the U.S. Senate FOR THE FIRST TIME IN U.S. HISTORY. Who the fuck do these fucktards think they are, and who works for whom?

They didn't smear him, they asked that he get in trouble.

It pisses me off that they did this while they were on the clock.  They were supposed to be working.  It also pisses me off that they use US Letterhead and use the US Congressional Chambers to deal with something that is not a matter of Congress.

Why did they completely bypass the FCC?

and btw, dude.  this was not an official piece of business.  This letter was completely personal......meaning it was not congress doing it, it was members of congress using congressional letterhead for personal use.

Imagine if you did some work for OUCH and tried to make it look like it was official FedEx business.  Thats bullshit and misleading.

u know?

It would also get my ass fired. In a heartbeat.

I don't know why they bypassed the FCC. I am, however, glad that a worthy charity is going to benefit from this - BIGTIME.

This is yet another example of US Media dumbing down Americans.
1. This is not a smear, this is a letter (petition).  In this letter, it asks that this radio station manager makes Hush Bimbo get in trouble.  Asking for Hush Bimbo to get in trouble is not smearing.
2. This is not from the Senate.  The Senate did not write this letter.

Based on repetition of bumper sticker slogans, some are led to believe the US Senate smeared a talk show host as a piece of official senate business.  Proves again that if you repeat bullshit enough times and with enough passion, bullshit becomes truth.

When 41% of the senators draft a letter, sign it and read it on the floor of the senate during working hours, I can understand why people would think it is senate business.

Arguing politics with you is pointless. You believe your bumper sticker slogans as much as you think I believe mine. I have not seen an argument from anybody on the left for a long time that doesn't resort to name-calling at some point. Let's stop here before it gets ugly.

Is it any fucking wonder why I don't even pay attention to this shit anymore?

Bro, who is arguing?  We are just chatting about it.

I have names for all those idiots, it doesn't mean I am resorting to name calling.  There are nicknames for just about everyone.  Ya got Madeline Halfbright, Slick Willy, Sleepy Ted Kulongoski, Dopey O'Donnell, Insanity Hanity, and my personal fav that makes me laugh every time I hear it: Dingy Harry.  The list goes on and on, they are just nicknames, bro.

Smearing comedian Rush Limbaugh...........

The person that benefits most from such a fun thing is Rush. He needs all the help he can get.

No matter the intent or effect, it's nice to see Democrats get some gonads. The lunatic fringe of the GOP would have not the slightest problem with a thing like this. Democrats need something. Fair play isn't in their adversary's playbook.

Cant say as I am some big Rush fan (except the band  Grin)

But if he is donating it AND matching the proceeds, that is at least a good end to it !!!

Wouldn't matter if it were the far left bed wetters or the far right clowns.
At least something positive came from it all.
It is a great end to an otherwise sorted affair....wouldn't y'all agree?

 Cheers, Dave

In defense of Rush, if he needs any, his addiction was caused by an overprescription of pain meds for a legitimate back problem.  There have been others here on this board who have gone through similar situations.  Since his rehab he has been totally clean as is evidenced by every drug test (monthly) he has had to take since leaving rehab.  This is quite different from others such as the aforementioned Lindsey Lohan.

I care not whether you like or agree with him or not.  As often as not I don't agree with him, but I do like what he has done in this case.  He has been a strong defender and supporter of our military all through his career.
