This upcoming May, Barb and I will celebrate our 25th anniversary. We have been contemplating going to Jamaica but are not sure. If we do go, we would get an all inclusive deal. Any suggestions about which resorts are good? Or what to avoid? thanx, jimmers

Get rid of the kids, send out for chinese, and walk around naked all weekend. You'll end up with a couple grand in your pocket (after you get dressed, that is).

Went to Jamacia back in 2002 and stayed at the Half Moon Resort. Beautiful Resort and not too far from the airport. The beach and ocean are within walking distance. Lots of beach activities. Didn't see too many kids running around, but we went during the school year. Happy Anniversary and have a great trip!! Beth

Uh Oh, I owe you a shot for that one Brew! Now, lunch next week is on you! I think the Jackson Grill on (Mitchell st. of all things) would be a great lunch spot. Don't worry though, steaks are only $40 a pop! As a matter of fact, why don't you give Pat your credit card so She, I and Barb can go to lunch and you can keep your ass at the office! Don't worry we'll bring you the receipt. Jimmers

I went to Jamaica as a teenager on a girl scout trip. It was quite an experience I will never forget. We stayed in Ocho Rios at a 5 star hotel/resort. The rooms were beautiful however, we had goats, pigs, and chickens running through the hotel lobby all the time. We woke up to roosters crowing. There was marijana and cocaine being used in the hotel loby as well. There was no drinking age there. The red stipe beer isn't all that bad you might want to try it. It was so hillarious because the economy was so bad there at the time. The islanders were dying to meet and marry an American. They hit on the fat women like crazy because they figured they must be rich if they can afford to eat that much. They were hitting on my girl scout leader and my mom like crazy and ignoring all the skinny leaders. They have beautiful water falls in Ocho Rios that you can climb from the bottom to the top. It is so fun and quit the experience. There is snorkeling etc. I met an islander boy there and he took me all over the island and showed me alot of the nice spots. We swam a couple of miles out into the ocean to where a luxury ocean liner was and swam back to shore. We went jet skiing. The island is so beautiful and the beaches are to die for. You will love it there. Just make sure you check out the resorts really good before you go. We stayed at the Sheraton there and like I said it left something to be desired even tho it was a a 5 star.

I LOVE Jamaica, been there 18 times I usually stay at a time share there but have stayed at a adult only 'secrets' in Ocho Rios and it was fabulous. No livestock running through the lobby but I did get a couple of marriage proposals...and I am fluffy, not fat. But, it is different there, it has its own culture and if you are into experiencing something different, you will most likely have a fabulous time...if you want it to be like it is for you at home, maybe not. Either way, have a wonderful anniversary and if you do go, I highly recommend the trip to 9 mile, where Bob Marley was born and is interred with his brother...its a hell of a trip and an incredible experience as touristy things go. The drives not for the faint of heart and you better like reggae music...but I think it beats the hell out of Dunn's River Falls which is such a pain in the ass to walk up... ok, maybe I'm just lazy
