Almost got crushed

Don't go to buffets very often...try to keep the weight down.
So I go to a Godfathers Pizza buffet a short while back.
I guess they were making some more pizzas cause the buffet was empty. Kinda waited a few feet away from the table because I expected they would have some coming right up.
A girl brings out a few pizzas...ah wham !!! I get elbowed & pushed out of the way by a stampeding herd of big girls. I aint kidding, I could have been crushed by the sheer force of 6 people literally running to the table. 
They started pushing each other a bit as if it was the last food on earth.
When the smoke cleared, the buffet was empty.
Seriously, I was really disgusted by their gluttonous behavior !!!
It was truly embarrassing that adults would act like this in public.
I just kinda backed away and asked the cashier for my money back. Said I would return another day perhaps.
I dunno, maybe I don't have a point to my post.
I was just astounded that people act like this....all self-absorbed.
You would think there is a food shortage.
I'll bet if there ever is, I'll just go out to the woods and get my own instead of fighting over it like a 2 year old !!
Damn, people suck.

Dave, you are not alone, I actually hate to go to buffet type restaurants...
People forget about manners and think they can get away with everything.
Most of the time I go to a Chinese Buffet but I avoid the seafood area mostly because some pople like to fish the seafood out of the trays, literally, they get all the shrimp, oysters, crabs, etc out of the dish leaving behing only the vegetables (within the same dish).
And you will always find the crawfish tray empty .
We only go to the soup area and the suchi bar, I guess "they " don't like light food  ...those areas are always pretty empty
We quit going to Golden Corral because I can't stand to see people eating like pigs  ..They make my appetite go away.

I've seen some pretty horrific behaviour at places like that too. It's quite horrible seeing people descend into pigs for feeding time at the trough.
I'll tell you what Dave, next time you want to take your delicate little tootsies out to eat I'll come and protect you from the horrible nasty big girlies who pull your hair and make you cry shall I?!

Aguess we've been lucky, because Timo and I have been to buffets a few times and had no problems.
Maybe Finns know how to behave themselves or we just got there before the really hungry folkes got there. 
Now, the next time you're planning to go to a buffet restaurant, come to Finland! 
And should someone need some help making it through a crowded place, I'm more than happy to help. I've been fully trained at department store Stockmann's Crazy Days sale, which is complete madhouse (in case someone has anger management issues, go there then and you can freely push anyone; no one will notice, because everyone else is doing the same) and my high school where it was nearly impossible get anywhere in time but I never got told off for being late.

Athough this is not a "Judeao-Christian" forum, and I do stand a chance for being flamed for this opinion, here goes anyway.
Both the Old Testament and the New Testament command us to "Love thy neighbor." References available by PM.
Although many verses of the bible can be taken out of context to appear to say something it does not, for example, "eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die"
(References and bible study assignments are available by PM).
If more of the people who profess to be Christians or Jews actually acted as they are supposed to, to please God, and/or more people would become Christians or Jews and act to please God, these things would not happen.
We, the world, USA, etc., have become a Godless majority. When God is no longer real to the majority, we have become "gods" (note the small "g" unto ourselves. We may become selfish, after all, we are "gods", no?
I don't know if any/many of you will get the point of this, but if it helps even one person gain a perspective, then it was worth it.
If this post offends you, I'm sorry, but I only have one real judge that I need to please, if you catch my point.

Remember grazing heffers are not to be interfiered(sp) with one could get hurt.
See our CHenz here are not of the bovine species, they conduct themselves as a true CHen should, until riled then all bets are off.
We are blessed to have the highest quality of the Female species here.
Oh they are good with gravy too!

I keep a picture of my mother-in-law in a solid titanium briefcase in case of attack. It is so hideous, you wouldn't stand a chance.
I once defended myself against an armed band of drug dealers with it. 3 of them died, 2 suffered brain aneurysm's and one got away by shielding himself with the titanium briefcase.
