pardon my choppiness or misspells...my face still hurts.

I went out after work with a friend. I left and stopped at a local convenience store to grab a pack of cigs, there were seveal ppl in line ahead of me chattin and buyin lottery tickets. And I could feel it coming. I'm on day 6 of dosing, prolly shouldnt've waited the extra day.

As I left the store, this good ol boy asked me if I was ok and all I could manage then was "I got this problem with my head". It was coming fast.  He started talkimng about calling "da Poe-Leese or da am-bah-lance" and NO NO NO was my response. I popped around the side of the store to be alone.

He msutve gone into the store and told one of the employees, she came out and asked if I was ok. She knew me from seeing me there and at that point all I could tell her was I was ok but not to call. dont call anyone. Helen gave me several OUCH cards while in Rich, and I knew I had one in my wallet. Was a struggle to find it, but I handed it to her, this ol 3 toothed woman.

The crowd of locals, about 8 or so gathered and kept sayin stuff about callin "da am-bah-lance" and this sweet angel of mine, I heard her say, " NO! Its on da card. You leave huh aLONE, dats whut da card say. Aint nuthin you can do and dont call nobody. She be aww-ight"  This lil ol spitfire got them all away from me and ekpt them away. That beautiful woman spread her wings.

The old gentleman of about 250 went in to the store and bought me a freezing bottle of water, immediatley applied to temple, and got a quick education on ch.  He'd just seen a scalping and unsfcheduled tooth extraction, I thought I owed him a quick  explanation. His response:  "Dayumm!"

Helen, THANK YOU for giving me those cards. Didn't realize how much I'd need it. And y'all give it up for my 3 toothed angel.

Angels come in different forms: some with 3 teeth, some with none and some with a full mouth of pearly whites..but all are sent by God to protect us when we are in need.. God bless that Lady!  Kiss

Even though most of us want to be alone during our hits, I am glad to know there were people around to help you, Jen.  I'm sure it was as upsetting for them as it was for you.

I had to laugh at the "am-bah-lance" thingy.  Most people in Lower Delaware (AKA, Slower Delaware) say "am-blance".  Guess that extra syllable just gets in the way.

Hope you're feeling better ASAP, my friend.

Wow, you are so lucky she had at least a 4th grade education to go along with her 3 teeth  laugh  Otherwise they'd have called 911 because she wouldn't have been able to read the card.

You are right Rosy, Angels come in all different shapes and sizes.

Dennis, I wasn't disrespecting her. Its where I live and how a lot of people talk here.

She could've been any shape or size or color or level of education, I don't care. After it was over, I went inside the store,  hugged her and thanked her.  I am lucky to have had her there.

Hugs,
Jen

Ah Jen, so sorry you got nailed in a public place. Your angel  handled the situation very well and a big pat on the back to her.

I do have a couple extra cards (Helen gave me several) so if anyone wants one, I'll share what I have too.

Maybe we can come up with a U.S. version?
