Well I guess, I will now root for your Phillies. The high priced team from Chicago won the central. Lee

Lee, I have always liked the Phillies but never enjoyed watching them as much as when John Kruk, Dykstra, Dalton, Milt Thompson and the rest of the gang were playing. What a crazy team that was. John Kruk was my favorite of all time....Da Kruker!! Gotta love him. Philly is where I was born so I have to support at least one of their teams. Not an Eagles fan at all so I am outnumbered big time around here. Dallas is my fav!!

I thought I might get a response out of you, Dave. Even though you root for the wrong teams, we are still buds. Lee

Cyn, It was exciting, eh? My boyfriend, Jason, was there. He got up at like 2am and went down to the stadium with his friend - they each got tickets for standing room only! He said it was amazing!! He kept calling me from the stadium - couldn't hardly hear him through all the cheering, though! I was up in Syracuse for the weekend, or else I would have been there with him!! Was always a Cardinals fan since I lived in St. Louis for 4years and went to a lot of games when I was a kid, but this season, I finally got back into baseball again. Ever since leaving St. Louis in 1989, I really didn't care much about baseball! I went to my first Phillies game a few weeks ago, and now I'm a diehard fan!! This is an exciting time for Philly!!!! Maybe we'll finally get our championship yet!! Hugz, Carrie

Lizzie, I hope so much that we can finally get a championship in Philly. People are going crazy now so I can only imagine what would happen if they went all the way. I remember going to see the Phillies when Mitch Williams was pitching for them...talk about a heart attack waiting to happen. He would walk out onto the field in the 9th inning to the tune of "Wild Thing" playing over the loud speakers. I never knew if I should cover my eyes or watch...the guy had everyone on the edge of their seats. Seems that kind of frenzy is building now in Philly. Keep those fingers crossed, k?

Cyn, Jason was telling me about the Mitch Williams era the other day! Well, thing is, I moved to Philly in 1992, so I was around for the 1993 season, but like I said, wasn't into baseball at the time! I am a diehard Eagles fan, however - but we do have a nurse at work who is a Cowboys fan, too. Don't know how you can live here and like them, but ok!! haha... Then there's Penn State. Who lost this weekend for the 2nd week in a row. Making me nervous!! Actually I don't even have the Eagles game on right now because when I last checked the score, it was 7-0 Giants. My brother was supposed to be at that game tonight, but we all left Syracuse too late. (My brother and aunt live in NYC, so they were driving back there and he was going to go to the meadowlands...) I'm really hoping the Phillies can keep the momentum alive!! It's an exciting time!!! We always get our hopes up, but maybe this year we can really do it!! Tomorrow, they've invited every fan for a rally at 15th and something - in Center City - I'll be like 5 blocks away at work - but that would be fun to go to, as well!

Yup, I am a Cowboy's fan living in Eagles territory. I like living dangerously, I guess. Wish the rally was on Tuesday. I would be there for sure since I have to go to a meeting at the Wanamaker Building and then a meeting at 20th & Arch. I am working from home tomorrow and back on overtime so it's not possible. Mitch Williams...The Heart Attack Kid....

Cyn----The Phillies played great baseball and they deserve to go to the playoffs much more than we did. I've been a Mets fan for ever ( since 1962) and I can honestly tell you that I have never ever witnessed anything like this. All they have to do is believe in themselves and they'll go far. Good Luck !!!!!!!!!
