Younger than I look?

Here's one for ya. I'm 47. I drive a paid for 2000 Nissan Maxima that I love. She's getting old and was due for some major engine maintenance. So I take the car into the dealership for service. They change plugs, belts, hoses, filters, service the tranny and the coolant. The bill comes to roughly $780.00. I'm happy as I figured it was going to cost right around that anyway. Two days later (this morning to be exact) my wife is in the kitchen doing bills and she and my 18 y/o son are laughing they're asses off. I ask what's so funny and she tenatively walks into the bedroom and shows me the bill. They gave me a senior citizens discount to the tune of 15%. WTF? Now I'm laughing too. I guess it pays to drop the car off when in cycle I must look worse than I thought... This is becoming a theme though. About a year ago I'm driving through McDonalds to pick up a few happy meals for the little ones on a Friday night. The pimply faced kid at the drive through says it's nice to see a Grampa picking up happy meals for his grand kids. I almost pulled the little shit through the window. But I can see now that it is all a grand conspiracy and that I am not just paranoid -Dennis-

I feel for you, Dennis. Thanks to ch I have extra wrinkle under me ch eye... I wasn't too keen to find that one. But, I focus on the bright side of the situation; soon people stop assuming that I'm young just because I'm short. Sanna

15% is 15%.......... Perhaps it was a discount for CH's.......... Lord knows it would be a well deserved discount...... try asking for it elsewhere...... recognition for advanced pain aging is in order....... phil h

| Funny you should mention George Clooney. We just finished watching what is probably his least memorable movie role--as "Matt", the pizza maker in "Return of the Killer Tomatoes", 1988. In the movie, Clooney has a mullet. Very nasty. Best, George
