This is the house I grew up in....

In the "diving pool" picture, you can see the gazebo my dad built completely by hand.

The "large upper deck" was outside my room - I had the only door.

Think I should buy it? LMAO!!!

Wow..great house...Love the look.  Buy it and make it into a bed and breakfast and make mega bucks.... Grin

There are enough bedrooms for that.

Wow! You're dad must have been well off as you were growing up. Half a million dollars is a lot of money plus property taxes of $10,000 a year. Beautiful home though I must say.

They bought it in 1975 for $70,000. Sold it in 1991 for $215,000.  Upper middle class, but not rich....

It only had 5 bedrooms then - hmmmm.....

I vote for you to buy it.  It is a little big for one person, and one cat, but you could hire Redd to work in your bed n breakfast for you.

WOW ! What a beautiful house, Lizz!

This wakes me up to the fact that Sydney is such an expensive city though, a house like that here will not sell for anything less than $5 millions.

Ours is only a small 4 bedroom, 1 bathroom , 1 onsuite with a tiny backyards and its about $520 000  Tongue

Very nice, I'd buy it but I think i'd hire a good landscaper to keep it nice, looks like a high maint landscape, 1 month of not paying attention and you have a jungle, at least in Florida.  That must have been cool to grow up in, I grew up in cookie-cutter ranch.
