Im a LEFTIE....

Dammit. I just had my first right sided hit, and it scared me.
Im chronic, Im a leftie...fourteen years now. I've NEVER once had a right-sided hit. Has this ever happened to anyone else after a long time?
I have to add, Im kind of lit. I made soup and put a very small amount of wine in it...I know I cant have alcohol. I feel dizzy and warm...it's not a good feeling....has this ever happened to anyone else.....

When I was episodic, they switched sides, one cycle on the right, one cycle on the left. When I went chronic, they stayed mostly on the left. When they do come on the right, it seems more painful, feels weird, the hits are different to me, and they last longer.
The only scary part for me is I know the hits will be much worse, and longer. It's a change, alright. If you feel you need to be seen by your doc, then do so. Hopefully, they will go back to the other side, or better yet, leave forever. One can hope!!

It is really upsetting and frightening. Im afraid something else is happening, but it definately was a CH, all the same stuff, but other side....and God forbid, Im incapacitated because Im alone...that is something I struggle with alot...not having my husband to "see" what's up with me.
Thank you again for being here. I really appreciate it...it calmed me down.

Scared the shit out of me too... it happens rarely. It never happens a lot. I haven't ever had a bunch of hits on the 'wrong' side. It just happens, then doesn't happen again for a long time (months or years).

whenever the beast switch sides, I am happy, I feel worse in my right side, my left is a little numb if you want to call it that way. It seems to hurt less in my left side. I take it as a break....Hope you get to feel better soon Sherri

Yikes!! Happened to me ONCE. Last cycle (cyclic for 18 yrs. now), I had the first and only right sided CH, and I agree... scared the shit out of me too! I was kinda hoping that it meant I was gonna end the cycle early, or something like that (wishful thinking  ), but it was just a "wrong" sided CH. Had never had one on my right before... have not had one since.
Still kinda freaky, though!

I'm a leftie, too, but I've had some action on the right side, too. Intrestingly, most of them have come during this cycle and been just shadows. It feel odd and "wrong", but also milder. Nobody knows about the future, but so far, everything on the right side have been milder.
I hope that it was just a one-off and that you're feeling better now...

I've ALWAYS been a leftie (chronic) and then last March, out of the clear blue I got a high cycle on the RIGHT side. Knocked me for a loop. When I finally got that cycle broken - it went back to the left and haven't had a twinge on the right since.
There's just no figuring these darn things. I've learned over the years to just roll with the punches and not worry overmuch about what Mr. Demon decides to do. What's gonna happen is just gonna happen - no rhyme or reason to it at all. Ya just thru them when they happen.

It really through me for a loop...I actually cried.
It felt VERY odd, I didn't know WHAT to do...as I said, I have my left sided routine down...well.
I just felt that this is enough already...now this?? And like George said it's like starting all over again. At least when they first started, I had no idea what was going on and just did things naturallly to relieve the pain and of course my "maneuvers" have just evolved over the years...it's interesting when I watched Tony and Chucks's video's how we all sort of do the same things to relieve the pain.
Anyways...thanks. I will NOT think about it.
