Would be good to hear from you today, Rosy. Wet but safe I hope. Humberto strengthened to a hurricane overnight, just prior to making landfall around 2:00 am CDT east of High Island, Texas. Maximum winds, in a small area to the north and northeast of the center, were near 85 mph at the time of landfall. Humberto is now inland near the Texas-Louisiana boarder, moving northeast, and will begin to weaken through today.

You've got to be kidding -- I was just going to call and see if you were flooded out -- the "damn" news is giving nothing but BAD news about how much damage it's doing to Galveston and you're sitting there sunbathing -- Go figure.... How's things in Dickenson and Friendswood? Got an aunt and cousins there. Glad you're ok -- and thanks for checking in. You know how we all worry during hurricaines till our chickens check in. Hugs BD

nop, nothing down there, just Galveston got hammer last night, lost of wind and rain . My area is very close to Friendswood. we got some rain last night about 2 hours and that was it, the hurricane sucked up everything and went and droped it elsewhere, we are so lucky

| Might give Jean a holler tomorrow, unless she checks in. I know the lake house is over that way somewhere. George
