We had a couple of new boards....say like a political board and or a "flame board" basically unmoderated where justabout anything goes? Curious I am....what say you? I will hang up and listen... Mark

those are touchy subjects, with war being the outcome. I say, if u have THAT on your mind, you probably are visiting the wrong site. Sorry, that is why I visit this site; to avoid political and plain ole complaining. My hubby is chronic, I come here to learn how to cope and help him, period. Hopefully you will, too! Leah.

| But you are posting to a general topics board at the moment and not a board specifically for CH support and research. I currently think Marc is suggesting this b/c sometimes things can get nasty regarding specific topics and that he may feel it should be on a completely different area where people may know that this behavior is a possibility. This was not a dig. This statement is.... You don't know who you are talking to. Here's a fella that has done a lot of good for ALL of us here so don't make the "hopefully you will too!" comment. Stepping down.. ETA: unless this was in reference to the whole population...then i partly agree with you, however, stick to the CH specific boards and you will not see it with exception to FDA debates and those regarding research.

A political board where Charlie and Matt can debate is a great idea, but then again I have never seen 2 people who are in opposition to each others views, behave as respectful as they are when they're doing it. DJ has already stated several time though...PERSONAL attacks are out of line anywhere on this site, so I doubt he'd give the go-ahead for a place where nasty personal insults fly.

| Dont see anything here about that. I wonder why? Quote:This site is devoted completely and exclusively to those that suffer from, and to the supporters of those who suffer from Cluster Headaches! There are a few other sites out there dealing with Cluster Headaches, but no real place to "interact" with other Cluster sufferers. There are a few message boards where you can read posts dealing with Cluster Headaches, but sorting through all the migraine, tension, and other headache posts to find the few about Clusters is enough to bring on a headache! Never again will you have to search, hour upon hour, for information on Cluster Headaches! You now have a place to "hang out" that you can call our very own. You now have a place to "vent" when you wake up at 3 a.m. with a headache, the oxygen tank is empty, and you're out of Imitrex! |

I think as long as you dont post personal info, personally attack, dont show porn and dont spam, you can talk about whatever you want.

| LMAO at the blank page. As for ch.tom and his kind, maybe we can just send them a link to Internet Hell--the /b/ message board at 4chan--where they'll be dismembered and eaten. (Don't go look. Trust me on this.) Best, George

Isn't that why general posts got pushed down to begin with? Hehe, this is pretty mellow right now dude. Most of us, including you, have seen this board erupt into a full fledged war.

Ya, that's what we need. Let's stand around and piss on each others feet board. That should help the cause. Once DJ got married, I kissed the porn link good bye . We were doomed (sorry Stef)...... Mike

Interesting.....porn? My thinking (which is subject to being flawed) was to allow an area for debate and fun and maybe free the other boards from "touchy" subjects. I have seen other boards where you can "take it to the Flame Board". Of course personal attacks, serious threats, spam and personal information should be dis-allowed.......other than that enter at your own risk. I am glad Don brought up the quote from the Welcome Page ...however lower down on the same page is the following...... Quote: Familiarize yourself with the message board It's probably a good idea to watch the Message Board for a bit before you post. Expecting nothing but technical discussions on the board? Ooops! Sorry. We are a family. We talk about everything. Some serious, some silly, some downright ridiculous. Lots of us find that laughter helps ease the emotional difficulties of dealing with a debilitating, permanent disorder that has no cure, no know cause and no truly effective treatments. But others prefer to confine their comments to serious discussions. There is plenty of room here for all. You can read every post or learn to skip over those that don't fit your wants and needs. Frequent posters, and we have many, tend to reveal much about their personalities in their posts. You are likely to find someone who you can relate to. Some of us are self-proclaimed analytical types, who tend toward serious discussions of a technical or scientific nature. Others are in the "touchy-feely" style, usually staying out of the analytical discussions but always quick to offer support, words of encouragement and a shoulder to cry on. |
| This was one the things that spawned this idea. Just thinking out loud......thank you all for your input. Mark
