I've been using inksell.com to buy my ink for my HP Officejet 5510 and was wondering if there is any place I can get it cheaper? I pay $24.95 for each remanufactured color cartridge right now and it's draining my checkbook. Any help would be great! Thanks! mel

A new store opened this week on Highway 10 that sells refilled cartriges at up to 50% off retail prices if you bring in your empty ones. Ink in a Blink. It's between Hong Kong Buffett and Batteries Plus. I can't recall their phone number off hand but you could try calling them. The savings may be worth a drive into town.

I get mine on Ebay. I have a Epson Stylus R300 printer. I buy a years worth of ink at a time. I spend about a $100 I print a lot of stuff out for JD and myself. What I do is watch Ebay about two months before I run out, until I see a deal. I also write the people I have bought from and see if they have any deals coming up.

Dell printers are made by Lexmark Charlie. You'll still be screwed, just not by Dell I have Xerox Phaser 8400DP Color Laser Printer. It uses solid ink blocks. They run me about $12.95 - $14.95 per color for the Artisan inks and last about 3500 pages. If you're burning that much ink with an inkjet printer you might want to consider going with a laser printer. Don't go with a Xerox, they're expensive. Brother and a few other companies are putting out some pretty reasonably priced lasers these days. Just my usual May the Source be with you Luke.

| Charlie, I also have a Dell printer (photo 924) and here in Canada we noticed that Staples is starting to carrying some Dell ink but not for my printer though. It takes about 2 days to get here when I order online. Barry

| Thanks for the info. Kirk, but I print lots of pictures. I have a Epson Picturemate, but the ink cartridge runs out quicker than my printers AND it costs more, so I'm getting rid of it. Is there a certain photo paper that works well with laser printers?? Redd, thanks for the name. I'll check it out this Saturday as Lily's Karate class schedule changed. Everyone else, thanks, uh, for your help!

Mel- You might look into refilling your ink cartridge yourself. Some can be refilled many times, some not. Just depends upon the printer. If you are able to you would save a bunch of $ -P.

Thanks Paul, I've done that before and besides from it being messy, the quality just doesn't cut it and I get lines on my pictures. Hopefully they'll come up with a better system for it someday!

I just bought new color ink cartridge last week. Dropped off one of my old cartridges at Walgreens to have it refilled. Next day arrived to pick it up and they said it was clogged and could not refill. Next day took my second empty cartridge to Walgreens to have it refilled. Next day went to pick it up and they said it was clogged and could not refill. Next day went to Walmart. Bought a brand new color cartridge for $21.95 (HP1610 printer)

Are you really attached to color? We have a wireless print server with two printers attached... a laser and an inkjet. The laser cost us about $60. Toner refills for it last 3000-5000 pages and cost about $30. I used to refill the toner cartridges myself, but the print quality really dropped... thus now we just buy new off-brand toner cartridges. The laser prints infinitely faster than the inkjet... 16ppm. All PC's in the house default to the Laser. They can select Color if they wish, but must do it manually. I am now down to less than 1 set of ink cartridges per year.
