This guy and his wife were chased to the attic by the rising water, from ground to roof level in three minutes.
Its nine minutes long and I watched every minute....WOW!!

How stable do you think a canoe would be with two dogs in it?
Plus, this guy may be 10 miles from dry land, who knows?
Depending on the situation, the canoe would be my last resort with all that crap in the water.

fearing that is why we left when Rita...It took us 30 hours to get to Austin...usual time is only 2 and half hours...but our home isinside the flood plan so...we did not want to risk...we left with all our pets.
