Did anyone in Canada happen to catch this news episode ??  I heard from my mother-in-law  that is was on the other night.  More exposure for us!

I'm at work in the morning but Donna had mentioned a while ago that CTV wanted to speak to a Canadian Ch'er but then we didn't hear anything further.

Cluster headaches are one of the most painful and hard to treat kinds of headache. They're fairly rare, but those who suffer from them experience debilitating headaches every day for months. Medical expert Dr. Marla Shapiro has more information.
 
A study published in Tuesday's issue of Neurology shows that a new nasal spray helps treat cluster headaches  
Cluster headaches are considered the most painful kind of headache  and there are very few treatment options available for this kind of headache.  
The drug is Zolmitriptan.  
The study found that people taking a higher dose of this nasal spray reported headache relief within 30 minutes  
Some patients found relief in as quickly as 10 minutes.  
 
Cluster Headaches: Symptoms  
 
Quick onset  
Extreme pain  
One side of head  
Teary eye, droopy eyelid  
Runny nose  
 
Cluster Headaches: Symptoms  
 
Occur in clusters  
Clusters last weeks to months  
More common in men  
Most common in people aged 20-40 years old  
 
Cluster Headaches: Prevention  
 
Stick to a regular schedule  
Sleep same time every night  
Avoid naps  
Avoid alcohol

Avoid glare and bright lights

I agree with ya, it doesnt tell a hell of alot, but at least they spoke of it and mentioned its the most painfull headache.

Well...ya gotta say that somewhere, someone might actually "get it" that this horror isn't a fluke or migraines.  
 
As Jonny says: it tells us very little but then people here are "special"

As far as I know, besides health magazines and one short piece on on public service broadcaster TV channel (which I missed and won't be able to see it) that tiny bit is more info than ch has got in here - ever.
 
When one Finnish soap star revealed that she has ch, that was a four-line story in one trash magazine and and its content was filled with mistakes. Roll Eyes I would have sent them piece of my mind, but I know what kind of journalists work there - the kind who don't give a crap. Lips Sealed
