Prayers Needed....(update)

Hi everyone...
I was hesitant on posting this but I need some vibes from you good people - if you have some to spare and dont mind.
My grandma is dying from breast cancer and lymphoma. The last week has been especially hard on her and my mom and I as her journey ends. As much as we are going to miss her, we dont want her to suffer anymore and want her to be at rest and not fighting. So I am asking everyone to kind of wish her a safe journey and just think of her as this all comes to a close.
It has been a very difficult week - she fell last Tuesday and since then things have kind of gone down hill. Right now,I have transformed what was my room into a hospital room for her and I have been acting as a nurse the last week - giving her meds, keeping her clean and comfortable.
We are thankful that she is sleeping all of the time now and is kind of oblivious (we hope) to what is going on. The hospice nurse has told me that she isnt aware of alot and things like the gurgling in her breathing arent a bother to her, just hard for us to hear. We still talk to her and I hope that she knows how much we love her.
I am kind of rambling now but this is very difficult. I have never had to see anyone pass on like this - my dad went so quickly and I didnt realize what a blessing that was until now.
Anyways, I would appreciate the thoughts and all and I know that my mom and grandma does to. I will let you know how all of this goes but I think that tonight will be the hardest as the nurse doesnt think that she will make it through.

I just went through this with my father in law.
If hospice is there then this is harder on you and your family than it is on your grandma.
Just be strong for her, thats what she would want.
Its never easy!

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

My heart goes to you and your Mom because what you are going through it's very difficult...
It is hard to say goodbye to a love one but I promised you where your Grandma is going there is no pain and suffering...
I will pray for her to have a very peaceful transition and for you and your Mom to find the closure you need for all your pain.
Remember that people you love will live forever in your heart and she will be watching you from above..

My thought will be with all of your family so that they can ease this passing with knowing nothing was left unsaid and undone.
Two years ago whn my Mom passed, I was the one to say "no more". It's a unique spoot to put in, but at least her wishes were followed.
Rremember that the dying have value, and that they habe a voice. Listen to that voice. Let them pass in the way that suits them. Not always in the way that suits the survivors.
Death is a part of the circle of life. Let the dying declair how they want to leave and give them the permission to leave. Then remember their life and celebrate it in the way that would bring them joy.
Thats all I have to offer.

Well...
My grandma just passed away about ten minutes ago. It was peaceful and my mom and I were there with her. She just kind of drifted away...
It is strange the way timing works because about forty-five minutes ago I told her that my mom and I would be okay, that she didnt have to fight anymore and that I loved her and would miss her.
It has been the first time that I have been able to say that to her and that was a blessing - almost like she was waiting for it.
The hospice nurse is on her way out now and we will clean her up...
