I can honestly say I'd give most of it away. I could do a whole lotta good with that much cash.
Oh, and I'd quit my job and just do volunteer work. And build a really cool house.

I'd invest most of it for retirement. Move to the west coast, and work there part time, or volunteer. And retire. And travel. After I help a few people out.
How much is that for 20 years, per year? Do the taxes come out all at once? Can you tell I never play the lottery??

Then I'd call in sick for about two weeks (just to piss 'em off a little) before I retire.
Pay off all my friends' mortgages and then set up a nice, fat foundation to start some SERIOUS research on how to kill this beast.

What I would do...
I certainly would donate to ch.com and OUCH.
I would book tickets to the next OUCH convention for myself and my best supporter and wonder where else I've always wanted to travel.
Then I'd buy a nice house with a huge balcony, terrace and a garden.
I'd take a year off to write a novel. 
I'd probably buy some of my fave books, dvds and country cds, a new handbag (a good one this time!), and set money aside for the future (a car, a wedding, retirement...).
Basically I'd live the life I life but add some luxuries to it.

I'm thinking there is a good chance I would do a death spiral of out of control spending and insanely bad habits, but maybe I'd invest it wisely and do alot of philantropy.

When you're older; you look at things differently but still: After OUCH and helping out a needy friend a bit, I'd find a place in New Hampshire or the Adirondacks that looks down on stuff, and travel like hell for a long time.
Get one of those Swedish clothes dryers.
Get a tub McDonalds chocolate sauce that they use on their hot fudge sundaes.

Buy a house with a minimum of 10 acres of land,
Buy a few used cars (have teens who are about to drive)
Give a substantial sum to the church
Give a substantial sum to OUCH
Give some money to each in the extended family
Pay off back child support
Pay my few debts
Set up a living trust
Watch a whole bunch of sunrises and sunsets
Go on a honeymoon with my wife (never got one)
Live life on a budget and continue to give to others through the trust.
