It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

Cell phone use linked to brain tumors? That's as absurd of a notion as consuming massive quantities of alchohol leading to liver failure... or having unprotected sex leading to contracting STDS.

When will this obsession with health and living end? Wink

Yes, I believe that radio frequency can cause changes in the brain, possibly damaging the brain (or other organs / tissue )

While I was a patient at MHNI under the care of Dr. Todd Rozen, I had a procedure done called RFG "Radio Frequency Generator". A robot-like machine inserted 2 needles into my neck (with X-ray guidance) and radio frequency was used to 'heat up' a specific region of nerves in hopes that it would disrupt the flow of pain signals to my brain. Sadly though, it did not stop the clusters at all ... but so far, no tumors  Cheesy

Give me that liquid, I'll try it !
Give me those pills, I'll eat them !
What's that procedure ? I'll do it !

I always try to use the speaker phone when on the cell phone and keep it away from my head. It would be of great interest to poll the CHers to find out how many hold the phone on there cluster side?

I used to service cell site transmitters years ago before my chronic CH started and had to quit the job because I became so sensitive to the RF in the transmitter shack. I would get so sick after about 15-20 min that I would go outside and puke. EMF and RF can be very dangerous.

When Motorola was testing the first mock up for a hand held cell phone the testing engineer got a brain tumor above his ear right next to the antenna. The mock up was a full power mobile cell unit at 3 watts output power. A portable unit is now 2/3 watt, but is a lower level of RF at close to the microwave range any safer? Probably not! The length of the exposure would only be lengthened to produce the same cancerous effect IMHO.

The antenna on the portable phones is also less efficient than a mobile unit causing the transmitter in the phone to be at high power most of the time. The transmitter tower regulates the power output of your phone, if it sees a low signal it tells the phone to increase its power output!

Just something to ponder, Undecided

I can't download all the video stuff. Takes too long with dial-up but they've been yakking about the horrors of radio frequency for 80 years.

I do know about about some of the medical uses but I don't understand them. This kind of thing gets viewers so they can sell Viagra.

On that, you have to wonder what kind of a society we are when your HMO will pay for you to have a hard on but not for your glasses. You have to feel your way around......well....As they say...I've tried my hand at sex.
