Hello, new family

Hi from Sharon (aka: at the convention, I became known as The Mom). Sorry, I have not been in touch since the convention. I went straight from the Richmond Convention to an RV rally in Du Quoin, Illinois, then to Albuquerque to help in preparations for my niece's wedding next week. No time to stop, can catch my breath. But, I wanted to thank everyone that made loneeagle (Jim) and I so welcome. I have never been to a gathering that was more like a family reunion than a convention. I can't begin to tell everyone what "warm fuzzies" we came away with, and how it has stayed with us ever since. Hubby says I haven't quite talking about it since I joined back up with him in Illinois. In fact, I've talked about it so much, he is now looking on the website, listening to my stories, reading the comments and watching the videos. He said next year he will come too. What a blessing this whole group is to us. Thanks to all who have inquired about me and said Hi. Hi back to all of you. Thanks for welcoming us home, we really fell like we have arrived.

Hi Sharon - it's great to see you here!! It was wonderful meeting you and Jim in Richmond. Sometimes the gatherings are like old friends and family getting together. There can be squabbles and silliness, but I think the arrival of two newbies to our family in Richmond brought a poignancy to the convention - it brought us all that much closer together. We're really glad you're here and hope we can help whenever possible.

Sharon, Im so glad you found comfort for your son and yourself...this is a hell of a condition to walk through alone. The people here will bring much comfort to your son...we are all here to help, comfort, and cheer him on. I will meet you at the next convention. Thoughtfully, Sherri

Welcome to the family Sharon. There's nothing like meeting another Cher face to face is there? Until you do it you just don't understand the bonding that takes place. Over the years I've met hundreds of people in this family and I've yet to meet a stranger - weird but true One day I had a nice young man (with a beautiful smile) knock on my door with a basket full of candy. When I answered, he said, "I need a hug." I had never seen him before but I called him by name and reached up to hug him. I had recommended a neuro to him and he'd just visited him and was so happy to find a doc who knew what a CH was that he came by to see me. It was love at first sight. It's just strange how we bond so quickly. Hugs BD

Welcome Sharon. I wasn't there so you're new to me. Glad you feel so much at home and that the other brain-damaged lunatics there didn't scare you away. Charlie
