Okay, so I ran across this book written by Seymour Diamond of the Diamond Headache Clinic when I was poking around on the 'net. http://www.thinktwice.com/clusters.htm Anybody seen a copy? If so...reviews? Thoughts? Best, George

Just for fun, George, check out the Diamond Headache Clinic website..... How much info can you find on clusters there... Jackie Edited to add...I'm not being a smarta**....just didn't find much when I checked it out. Also not a fan of Dr. Diamond and the clinic...Blake spent 2 weeks inpatient at almost $25,000.00 tab and it didn't work. Now I know some folks have found help there....most that I saw while we were there didn't. Maybe we're just sour grapes...

Well, I might order it--just to see what it's all about. But I'm not going to until it's listed on amazon or something similar. (It's not.) Not judging here, but I notice thinktwice.com is one of those anti-vaccinination outfits, with their particular point of view. Don't know what they're doing selling headache books. They also don't have a secure server, don't take paypal, and take CC orders by e-mail or phone. I don't do that. Maybe I can get it on interlibrary loan. I'll give that a shot. If all else fails, perhaps I can get it from Diamond Headache Clinic. Best, George

Thanks Jackie for some feedback about Diamond Headache Clinic. It was suggested to me that I should save all of my money and get there. Even was considering the surgery...but want to talk to others who've actually HAD it. Thanks again.

Never met the man...i saw him on Larry King show a few years back when they were doing a show on headache's (mainly-migraines)...There was one of the callers that asked him about clusterheadaches.the only thing that Dr.Diamond had to say about clusters ( thats what is known as the suicide headache ) i was very offended to hear that...God only knows,if by hearing that that it might of validated that for one of us out there that heard this coming from this man,and i am sure that each and everyone of us thought about it atleast one time... JMHI...Far from impressed.........Lenny

I don't know this particular book. As a former patient of Dr. Seymour Diamond M.D. I will commend him as an excellent diagnostician. He's willing to try anything with a good chance of working. His practice, however, has turned into something of an institution, with people all over the world coming to him as one of the best in the world. I was not helped by my visits to the Diamond Headache Clinic, but I was a tough nut to help. I would NOT discourage anyone from going there. Ray

I had this book and tape, sent them both to cluster heads and told them to keep sending them forward. Not sure where the hell they are now.

| The book is just about everything we already know and the tape (if I remember right) was a video copy of medical news segments done by a cluster head news guy that has been here. I sent these out years ago, but I know it was more of the same.

Although I don't care for staying in Chicago at the inpatient unit ... The Diamond Headache Clinic introduced me to histamine desensitization ... which has been quite helpful For me, it was well worth it ! UNsolved
