Guess some of you saw that our good old cat Fitzwilly died a few days ago. We seem to be cat people, and we were short one. So we adopted Etta yesterday. I'm glad we did. Etta's ten weeks old. She's quickly become Ellen's personal cat--her familiar. Very rowdy. Been a while since we've had a kitten in the house. Etta's about the size of a regular-size meatball sandwich from Subway. I told my friend Greg about her today. Greg says he loves cats, but he can't eat a whole one. (j/k) . Best, George

Cute little kitty!!! I hear there is a lot of food to catch over at Aunt Helen's house. Does that kitty have a passport?

Etta's cute. I've got two (Moe and Joe) beating up on me now. They're going on three months old now and growing up. They're also taking over the joint. I can't tell them apart except Moe adores me and Joe is standoffish. Our 70 pound dog, Homer's, favorite thing to do is pick them up in his mouth and carry them around. He doesn't hurt them, that's how they play. They pounce on him and he carries them around for a while and then puts them down on the other side of the yard. They're fun to watch. Hugs BD

I love Kittens!! My daughter is being begging for another one but Pancho (our old cat) is very agressive towards other cats so I don' think it will be possible...besides, she wants a forever kitten and that is not going to happen Etta...I like that name, it has personality

| I guess not. I asked Ellen, and she said she just liked the name, and it seemed to fit her. Knowing Ellen, we're probably lucky she didn't name her "Cthulhu" . Best, George

I'm a dog person and have always tried to hate cats. But my wife's cat has developed the coolest habit of bringing live things into the house, mice, lizards, horned toads, small snakes, I gotta tell you I'm falling in love with this cat!!! Guiseppi

Awwww .. what a cute kitten ! I love the name too Now how does a prolific kitten cope with your many pictures of birds? Does Etta go bird watching with you ?

| In a manner of speaking. Ellen has an aviary cage with tropical finches. (You have to like animals to have Ellen around). All three cats spend a good part of their day watching the birds. It's like cat TV. There's no way the cats can reach them. The birds are habituated to the cats, and chomp birdseed inches from a cat's nose. They could care less. We also have a rack of bird feeders in the back yard, and we scatter cracked corn for the ground-feeding birds. Quail and hummingbirds seem to cause the most excitement in the cat world. Best, George
