Heading out soon ...

Well ... not long now before I take off and wander the backroads of the States. I'm going to leave a bit earlier than I thought (a good thing). Won't be on any time schedule but have an idea of where I'll probably be at least for the first few months. I've done a lot of homework and I've got a basic route in mind to start off with. Going to first stop in Southern Colorado for a week, then head on down through New Mexico. Most likely stay in Reserve, NM for a week or 2. Then head on to Parker, Arizona. From there I'll head up to Henderson, NV and visit with BobG for a bit, (As well as some extended family). I'll IM you Bob with a "guessitmate" time I'll be coming through and call you well in advance. From there it's down to Castaic, CA. Have a brother and niece who live in Simi Valley and they will meet up with me there for maybe a weeks visit. Hard to say where will be next, by the time I've gone this far and how long I stay in each place or even more stops I may make along the way (which is very likely), I guess I'll have to follow the weather by the time I start heading out CA. Thinking of going up to Nevada City, CA in Northern CA or somewhere around there? From then on out it's wherever I can go. Hope to find small jobs anywhere along the way. Just finished my first job painting on ladders and crawling underneath decks on very course gravel. Took me twice as long as I guessed it would, but the home owner was very pleased and payed me more than I expected (A big help there!) I did get stuck on my back a few times, but the excercises I've been doing have paid off and I was able to get up on my own and get back to work, a confindence booster at least So, anyway, I'm feeling much better already about this trip, what it can possibly do for my attitude mentally and spiritually and sooooo ready to get back into the "Great Outdoors!" Will I be passing close to any of you where we can visit or just meet up for a diner or something? My home phone and computer server will be shut off come August 1st, but I'll be carrying a cell phone with me. Send me a IM before then, otherwise I may be hard to find to get a hold of after that. God bless ya all and wish me luck Dave
