Positive People.

For the last two years I have been with negative people.
My mother use to be a very positive person until dad died.
Then everything in her life turned negative. Two of my children have always been negative thinking. Buddy, Dev, and I have been just Bombarded with negative thinking. If we did something for us, we were made to feel guilty. Like buying the camper, going on a trip to see friends, money spent doing these things should have been given to people who won't help them selfs. Before my trip to Richmond. I put my foot down. While I was gone my husband put his down.
My mother, we have told her what we can give, what we can't.
We also told her how negative she has been, I even showed her how to make a little money. I use to be a yard sale queen. So now mom is collecting stuff to sale. It is giving her a little extra money and something to do. Funny she is even talking positive now
Two of my children, thought they didn't have to work that
food, would just fall from the sky. Well they now know they
need to because the money tree has stopped producing.
My oldest daughter won't speak to me now. I heard she is working and doing good. My son found out if he wants to eat, he has to work. If he wants a lawyer, he has to work and pay for it. I have two children that work and make the right chooses, and when they screw up, they have to be responsible for their actions. It is time the other children do the same.
Buddy and I had become negative in our thinking from just being around them. Buddy and Deveny were able to go to work and be around positive people, I was just stuck being with the negative. I slowly felt overwhelmed and just closed my self off from the world. I just locked myself in my own little world, hoping for some kind of peace. Being alone you don't find much peace, no more than you do being around negative people.
When I went on the trip to Richmond, and was around all the positive people there. I just felt all good inside. I smiled and laughter so hard I cried. I needed it so bad.
I came home and felt like a different person. I missed everyone more than I knew. I came to see that its important to be around positive vibes, positive people.
In the last 8 years I have come to find out this is the most
positive group of people I know. You people give me energy. I saw how negative I had become. Coming home I stayed positive, now Buddy, Dev, are positive, we are passing that on to the ones that needed help.
This year, when I home school I am taking a hour in the morning and a hour at night, to be here with my friends.
To make new ones and to help anyway I can. Its important to take time for things and people you love outside the family. I am just no good without my friends.
This place grows on you, when you are not here you miss it. It is a part of all of us, clusters brought us together, its just much more than clusters its friendships you never forget, its life long friendships.
I am so happy to be in a positive state of mind again.

I will take your word for it that you had become negative  .....(hard to believe but I will have to take your word for it)  ......You were the first person to reach out to me on the od board. You were always the calming voice of reason when the threads started to get ugly. Finally meeting you in person was one of the Richmond highlights for me.
Shame on anyone who would bring someone like you down. Wishing you peace and sending you back a little bit of the love you showered us with at Richmon!
