After one doctor gave him a prognosis of 9 months to a year then directed him to a different doctor at the VA we got some really good news. The cancer is not as advanced as it was first believed. He has an appointment next week with his heart doctor to check his pacemaker and to be sure his heart can hold up to the stress of the radiation, then they are putting in his feeding tube. The following week he starts with the radiation treatment. He was told that his chances are very good. I told ya he was a tough ol bird..........
