business venture as an Avon Lady. Yep Tara Ann the avon lady. 
I want to help out my fam somewhat finacially and I sold avon about 8 yrs ago so I decided to try it out again. I really hope you all don't mind my pitching here but I really need some customers and I am hoping some of you are interested in Avon.

I LOVE Avon...in fact I bought "half" cowboy boots, and coin bracelets, and great beads and earings.
I have to tell you...there's this lady I go to to buy it...she has an electrolysis salon and the rest is all Avon...I like the jewelry, shoes, purses, etc...the beads are stunning...alot of "collar" necklaces, I like "gyspy" jewelry...cuff bracelets, hoop earrings, strands of beads....I don't mind AT ALL you pitching your things...
Hell, I'll buy my stuff from you. Good luck. And the lady I go to makes a fortune on Avon...I do buy the mascara too...her major money is from Avon sales. And Im extremely picky with make up...I use Elizabeth Arden, Clinique, Lancome...but I just love Avon's mascara...my mother loves anew...it doesn't agree with my skin. So, if I tell my mom to buy it from you...she will.

You know what really sucks though?! The day I had the meeting with the Avon lady to get my start up kit... I woke up to my whole entire neighborhood plastered with Avon booklets from another rep. and I am the only one in this immediate area! I had planned on going door to door. I'm still going to but I'll give it till the next booklet so people aren't already disinterested thanks to that other rep that "invaded" my area!

Oh and sldr there is a different anew that is for sensitive skin. Cause my mother in law is sensitive to it too. When I saw it in the booklet it definately caught my eye. It's got herbal ingredients.

well the thing is the rep puts his/her name and info on the back of the booklet. So they will get those sales  Ahh well I am still moving forward with it! Those ppl got introduced toit and I didn't spend a dime on those booklets.

Dont' worry...you'll win the neighbors over...and the convenience will too. And when people use Avon..they're very loyal to it...it sells itself...and the trinkets they have are really gorgeous, too.
I have bought alot of Christmas knick knacks,etc...there stuff if expecially pretty. And Skin so Soft products can't be beat...they are classic...and updated too. I'll be talking to you.

Tara don't worry about that other rep...just a "blip" on the screen. When you introduce yourself, give them a sample (if you're able to, I know you have to pay for them)...they'll love you.
If you are able to give a sample or two...their fragrances are reallly nice too..a suggestion, If I may, put your book, the sample in a cute Party bag, tied with ribbon (from the Dollar Store)...something real festive...that will stand out.
A bad sample to give...lipstick. Don't waste your money...unless it's clear lipgloss...lipstick is a difficult thing to get right...especially a random choice (I have so many lipsticks from the gifts different companies give...Im on mailing lists, and time buying my products for the gifts...they give you great samples...I've found many of the products that are now "must haves".)
Even if you can't...Im sure you'll stand out with your personality...Im excited for you. Avon is a multi-million dollar business...and has been around forever, so people know it's credible. Also if you can, WEAR some of their jewerly..or a pretty lipstick or nice fragrance...get them going... "Oh THIS??? It's from Avon..."...Im a a liscenced cosmetologist, with skin care being my first love. I know you're going to do great...and I'll get you customers from here too...me, my mom, my godmother...ANY woman CAN be beautiful...with a little lipstick, mascara, cute earrings...and you may just change someone's "day"...that means alot... You go Tara!!

Wonderful Ideas! I already plan on putting in orders for perfume samples because who is going to buy perfume that they haven't smelled before (unless they have already tried it) but I love the gift bag idea. Also thanks so much for recruiting your family for me!
And yes their bug repellent is awesome and my kids have sensitive skin and I can use it on them with no problem at all.

My mom and I have been selling Avon for 22 years.
Just a few tips to get the clients in your neighborhood to be YOUR customers.
- print out labels with your name and phone number, and due date. Slap 'em on the back of the book, so that when you leave it with a customer, they know how to reach you if they don't buy from you right away. Put these labels on EVERY book you give out.
- always, always include a little something, whether it's a lipstick sample, a men's cologne sample, the popular wrinkle-attacking creams, etc...the samples for new items are good if you get them from the demo sheet, they cost you less and get your customers excited about the next book.
- Include the Outlet, Mark brand, and seasonal flyer booklets that are offered. People cannot resist a bargain!
- Convenience will win over customers in your area.
- You make more from selling person to person, than from online orders if I'm not mistaken.

Just now I am working and fighting with the beast to the point of near death and am running a bit behind keeping up with the happenings around here, but I will do my best to stay informed.
I carry all of my Clusterbuds around with me and am always sending vibes and prayers to all.
Like Pep one of my Sis in Laws has been selling Avon for over 20 years in the Laurel Md. area so as soon as I can I will hit her up for tips and advice.
I do know that many years ago she was able through her PTA to get her foot in at the school that her kids went to. Those kids are now adults with kids and she still has that customer base. Close and easy to service. Just a thought

Here’s some old Avon products that go back a year or 2 or 10 or 20 oh OK 30 plus then.
They are from the Cape Cod collection that came out around 1976 from memory when Nina was selling Avon here in Oz.
