I headed to Richmond Thursday, the plane ride was fast only a hour and six minutes to get there. I called Jackie to send the shuttle buss. I thought great I will be there by 4:30 Jackie said it was just across from the air port. I went to light a smoke, and this lady from the airport asked if I was waiting on a ride. I said yes a shuttle from Double tree. She said " Honey you want to get on that shuttle right there. So I ran for the shuttle. I ask the driver, is this the right shuttle to Double tree hotel. Yes your at the right place he says. I jump on. We ride and ride and ride. Then the driver says Marriott next stop. So a few people get off, and then he says Double tree next stop. We pull up I get out head inside. I go to the desk. I say, Jackie warrior said she left a key to her room here for me, my name is Elaine Holloman. The lady said we don't have a warrior here. I call Jackie and say what room you in, I am in the lobby and they say they don't have you down. She said well hell, tell them I am in room 432. I said she is in room 432. The lady looks at me and said. I am sorry we don't have a room 432. Jackie said where are you Elaine? I said at the Double tree Motel. Turned out there were two Double tree downtown and Double tree Airport. OH shit! So they tell me they will shuttle me to the right motel. I wait and wait and three buses left all full no room for me. Then I saw a groomer transportation bus. I asked the man if he could get me to Double tree airport hotel. He said sure, but it will cost ya $25, I said just get me there ! I finally got there 2 and a half hours later. It took me longer to get from the airport to the motel than it did from Atlanta to Richmond. Only I could do that! I get to the hotel and the first person I saw was Jimi. Oh he looked so good. You would never know by looking at him, that he had that surgery. It was so good to see him and Ruth. Knowing you were ok was the main high light of my trip. Ruth and I even were able to talk this trip. Then I ran to the room and there Miss Jackie was, I think we hugged for five minutes. Then we went to the pool where every one was hanging out. The first person I saw was Chuck. The man is just as crazy as ever. There sat Racer Bill, Bill is such a gentleman, it was sure a pleasure to be able to spend time with him. He is to be thanked for keeping pictures on the board. He worked hard.

Poor Jennifer she was shaking all over. It wasn't long before she calmed down. This woman has a lovely personality, just being around her makes you smile. I was able to spend some time talk with Eric, oh my word, that man is so smart and he can make you laugh. Eric have you ever heard? Its a country song called Flowers on the wall. There is a verse in the song that goes, " Smoking cigarettes and watching Caption Kangaroo now don't tell me there is nothing to do!" Oh the plane home I kept laughing and that verse was going through my mind! The man on the plane next to me,kept looking at me, like what the hell is she laughing at! Jim W he was always smiling and it was nice listening to him. He was so helpful to me, I couldn't have made it with out you. Elizabeth is still just as sweet as always it was good to see you again. Bill M I didn't get to talk with much, but what little we did get to talk was just great. Patty and Donna, I had lunch together, those two together can cause a person to split a gut laughing. I enjoyed their company, I enjoyed the laughs and memories. Listen to this, I may just have found yet another family member in Richmond. Jim Holloman. We are going to do some family tree search and see if we are kin. Jim and his mother were just so nice. He will be getting on the board and posting soon. He has clusters and like all of us was so happy to find information and others know what he is going through. Ruthie Harper, she is something else, a great story teller for one, she has such a positive out look. She is blessed and she knows it. What a wonderful lady. Now James Brown was there he showed up I Friday night, he has two lovely children. He just layed back and easy to get to know. Then I got to visit with Joe, now Joe is just nuts, and funny. Tony was fun also, the best time I had was watching him mess with everyone. You would think he was a million miles away and all of a sudden he would say something to someone in the group, that would just make us crack up. Batcher and Joyce now there is a lovely couple, I didn't get to talk to you much Joyce, I loved your smile and listening to you. She has this way of making you feel right a home. I got to met Helen for the first time, oh she is funny and she is has this bubbly personality that just makes you feel good when you are around her. She is as wonderful as I thought and she is as sweet as I thought. This lady has it all. Linda Howell I hope you enjoy your grits! Lord that woman, she just made my day, just seeing her. I loved talking to you and reliving some great memories. I was able to meet chucks daughters, I had never had the pleasure. You two are find ladies. Last but not least. Fast Eddie, and his wife. My word those two are just lovely. Eddie was in tears, he was so happy to find us. His story was like ours, he felt so alone. He has a wonderful support his wife. Now he has made many friends and you all will love his humor. Welcome to our family ! The children at the convention really stole our hearts. The pictures of the children we have all seen, but believe me they are more precious in person. The mothers and fathers of these kids are doing a great job with them. Just think when they get older all the aunts and uncles these kids will be able to say they have. I hope I have not left anyone out. My mind is going 90 miles a hour and you all know how that effect me. I had a wonderful time, I missed the ones that wasn't there, but believe me you were their in our hearts. We thought about you all. Well I am home and need to spend some time with my family. I think they missed me. I miss everyone already ! Jackie are you home yet ! I miss you bad. Thanks everyone for such a wonderful time.

| You said it all - seeing them healthy and smiling made our 1000 mile drive worthwhile.
