So I called a friend of mine yesterday to let her know i'd be going by to drop off some paperwork having to do with school and she told me she had to run off the phone cause she had some friends coming over to watch the Paris Hilton on Larry King interview over some wine 
I told her she needed to get a life and she didn't like that much. Then she wanted to call me afterwards to share how revulting/rediculous, etc. Paris was on the interview. I basically told her to call me about Hilton if she remembers not ever fucking up at that age. Personally, I don't care for the girl, but i'm certainly not going to act holier than her...I have a pretty dark history myself and will probably screw up many times in the future. 
Besides, aren't there more important things than Paris Hilton? Gimme a break!
Guess I've been in a bad mood lately. No need to respond, just sharing.

Paris automatically gets a pass because she is insanely rich and beautiful. The only thing she couldn't buy was fame,. Now she has it and now she will act like she is Mother Theresa. The world will be even more amazed than if Bill Gates gave away a Billion dollars to charity (wait, he did do that)
I turn off the TV now when she ends up on it. I don't change channels, I turn it OFF. Media is becoming impossible to tolerate any more. We should all be insulted at the CRAP they feed to us as 'news'.

I saw a lot of it. It's the first time I've ever heard her or seen her long enough to recognize her again.
For someone billed as just above a walnut in intelligence, she did okay. Not very exciting, pretty silly, and nervous as hell. 
Not to worry though; we'll always have Paris.

I didn't see the Larry King show, because it's not shown back in here, but I think that one of our channels will pick that one-off and show it to us in some point. That always happens...
Anyways, I did see a glimpse of news material in which Paris walked from the prison and greeted the crowds - that was shown on huge screen at Stansted Airport!  And I had blissfully hoped to miss all that because of I was leaving one country for another... I bet if our plane would have had some sort of tiny screens, they would have shown it as well.
