Thank you, my brave companions...

There's a gulf between those who've experienced CH in any form, episodic or chronic--and those who have never experienced it. I have never been able to communicate to anyone else what CH is actually like--the pain, yes, but also the lowering sense of dread and doom that accompanies it, and the overwhelming relief when a hit is over. These are outside my poor powers of description. I'm thankful every day for all of you--the only people on earth who truly know what it's like to pass through an attack, and find the shore on the other side. You have, always, my greatest respect and admiration. You are warriors, and my brave companions. For those who support us, please know that you are blessed and appreciated beyond words--although you cannot remove our pain and the battle is ours alone, you remind us that life is worth any price that is paid. Thank you. My best to you all, George

Ah! The foreigners put on such airs Wearing the tangerine suits And their harlequin eyes. The pain they inspire Draws in harmonica melodies And the feathers of birds Which flame up at their touch. It all comes to light in the sheer Debonair. (Ellen)

There is nothing like the relief that comes with getting to the end of the attack is there? I always look at the clock afterwards and I'm amazed by how "early" it still is - time loses meaning and it feels like an eternity has passed so finding out it has "only" been a couple of hours and that I still have "day" left never fails to amaze me. Of course there is the flip side where its "only" 2:30am and you know there are several hours before getting up time for it to happen all over again.. Its that swinging between desperation and euphoria that leaves me not knowing which way is up sometimes. We loves ya Georgie - and we have your back too huge hugs Helen xxx

Nicely done George. Like Helen said: It's impossible to explain how we feel as the horror goes away. I like to say that it's like the pain running down a drain. Nothing like it. Charlie
