leaving for the convention.

I borrowed a 21 foot motorhome from my son and I am leaving on Thursday for the convention. I plan to put eleventy-thousand miles on his odometer in the next month, since I won't be back til the end of July. 21 foot motorhome is a tad small so I may drop Jim off at the Grand Canyon or the Mississippi River which-ever nerve he gets on first. jk I have already seen most of every state til I get to Nebraska...after that I plan to see all the sights I have always dreamed of.: The arches in St. Louis, Jim and Ruthies house, lol...anything in Kentucky that sounds like Daniel Boone territory with a couple of side trips to a real "still" a lot of museums and a lot of places to camp by a river like the Missouri, the Mississippi, I want to see a covered bridge...the Alleganny Mts. and the Shennandoah valley..some civil war battlefields and the DC. area. I plan on talking to George while I'm there so anyone who wants anything said...now is the time. lol The Viet Nam wall, the Smithsonian...Lincoln Memorial...oh yeah and of course the convention in Richmond. See you all there and for you Tanner....please know I will call you when I am there and everyone can say hi on my cell phone. Linda

If you got a freaking motor home, you better damn well steer to WI for the July 20th meet and greet in Point here dear. The Empty suits and I (I being the minutive ) would be heartbroken if you didn't. Ok off to bed for me, I'm past pumpkin time. (just saying I =minutive means that my one broken heart is not sufficient to the many broken hearts.)

Oh How I wish I could Pegg...I'm taking the Southern route coming back. Modified to add: I asked Jonny a while back to make me a "shiney" for the convention auction..and he did. He sent it to me and I will place it on my dashboard as we travel, kinda like the roaming gnome. it's a small one but it's beautiful. The bidding starts at..?

The World War II Memorial is on our "must see" list in DC, Linda. My dad didn't make it out to see his memorial so we'll honor him there during convention week. And the most important part of the trip will be that your first Culvers can be had in either Colorado Springs, Boulder or Denver . . . After that there should be one in almost every state until you get out of Ohio!! http://culvers.know-where.com/culvers/

Linda - If you and Jim can be flexible in your return trip and make it to Party in the Park on July 20 in Stevens Point (northern swing vs. southern swing), you'll find that just about every community in Wisconsin has a Culvers.

Not exactly sure Kimmie...but I plan on seeing JDH for coffee or lunch when I get there. I've got his number so I'll call him when I'm almost there. It would be great if we all could get together... at Culvers maybe. jk

Linda sweetie, as I told you on the phone I really wanted to visit the wall with you but If you and Jim find the time could you maybe walk down to the Apex and on your left look for Panel 02 west, line 129? There you will find............................................................... CWO Douglas L. O'Neill, Bayonne, NJ CWO Larry A. Zich, Lincoln, NE SFC Allen D. Christensen, Flandreau, SD SSG Edward W. Williams, Clearwater, FL Misters Zich and O"Neill were my pilots and two of my best friends. Chris and Williams were the crewchief and doorgunner that took our spots when my Crewchief and I rotated home the day before the incident. If you could get some nice tourist to take a pic of you and Jim standing near that spot I would cherish it forever. cryin like a baby.....Tim
