LPs to CDs

I have 674 record albums collected from 1956 to the middle 1980s.
I have just acquired some hardware and editing software that will allow me to convert them to CDs, WMAs or MP3s. I am having a ball salvaging those songs and albums that I would like to keep. Most of them are available in newer and better recordings, but some have never made it to tape or CD. The latter are the ones I am salvaging, i.e., the soundtrack from Le Voyage en Balloon (1962).

Treat those LP album sleeves with kid gloves. A lot of them can be worth money...Elvis for instance.
