A weird and wonderful encounter . . .

The brewcrew family spent the day at a local art festival in Milwaukee - the Lakefront Festival of the Arts.  Annual thing and we haven't gone for years.

So anyway, we're wandering around the very pricey art booths and who do we run into but Brew's Neurologist!  I couldn't believe it was him since I've only ever seen him dressed in "doctor clothes . . . . ."  Today he had on a sleeveless t-shirt and shorts and he's shaved his head.  The thing that shocked me was the tattoos all over his arms - I just didn't expect them!!

All I could think of was he would fit right in at ANY clusterhead meet and greet or convention I've ever attended.  He picked the right specialty!

There in lays the "sterotypical" rub.  So may people think that "professional" is some sort of straight laced 1880's ideal.  Times have changed and body art is not indicative of any "social" norm or diviance.  It simply is what it is.  I was lectured on my ink from my "new" boss just this past week.  Some trype comment on having sensitivity to my customers impressions.  I stated that I've yet to get any feedback other than positive comments on my artwork, and if he or the company has any documentation that there had been any negative feedback, I'd certainly be interested in viewing this.  I was informed that there was none.  I then stated that untill there is, I will continue to present myself in the professional manner that I have for the last year, and won't concern myself with false images the company may feel there could be without due proof.

I saw an act of faith today. A man was on his knees, not in a pew in a Church, but in a garden planting seeds. ~~Unknown

He could hang out, but I hope they're not Rorschach inkblot tattoos.    Wink

He's a neurologist, not a psychologist.

I know, but it was too tough to make a tattoo-neurologist joke.

My kind of neurologist....he would make me feel comfortable...and not as if he's above it all.

The thing about neurologists is that a lot the ones I've been around can be weirder than a wooden watch. It must go with the territory.

It makes me wonder just what possesses someone to become a proctologist.
