Happy flag day everyone

Our Daughter April has had a busy day today.She's in a revaloutanary war program at school.They had a field trip today where they spoke at another schools assembly and dresssed in there military uniforms.@ 6 pm some of the kids dressed again and attended a flag ceromony in a downtown park.They had a official ceromony were a local family who lost a son in Iraq was given a medal of valor (sp?) and a flag.the kids were escorts with different branches of the military showing different us flags through time.
Tomorrow the whole 4th grade spends the night at a national battlefield and then gets up and re-enacts a battle.They have been working on the rev war all year
and practicing different drill routines.I will post pics when I can.Can't wait,Beth will be doing this next year.....Huzzah..Oh yeah her school won first place in our local parade last saturday ...pics coming for that too.
gotta go April will be on news for the flag ceromony and Beth might be for our local weatherman going to there school.
