Regardless of the spits and spats you see here on ch.com, I can assure you that any and all barriers melt away at convention. I've never attended a blood family reunion where I had a better time or where people got along as well as clusterheads do at a meet and greet or convention.

I won't make it again for a host of reasons.
I know there was already a Dallas Con, but is it too early to start lobbying for Ummm....
San Antonio River Walk, Sea World etc.
How about Amarillo....gorgeous country!
Lake Powell on the AZ. end...one of the true little known wonders of America.
Lots more neat places over by Nani !!!

Sad to say, not a chance. Money of course but more. I'll be spending a lot of time keeping afloat and getting advice from people who are supposed to know how to do stuff. Lots of stuff in the way this time.
Rats. I look forward to seeing all you loons next time though.
Niagara Falls would be nice next time too. Lots of wholesome native American gambling available too. Nothing like celebrating their heritage of selling cheap cigarettes, gasoline and gambling.

If you want a convention in your area, agree to host it!
Put in an application to O.U.C.H. and tell them about it. Every year, they look at what proposals have been submitted, and then select one from them.
Lionsound (Rori) will help (I hope) as she as done the past few. She is experienced and VERY good! BUT, she lives up in the FAR northeast, and can't do the local running around.
I am trying to convince the Oregon crowd to host next year! It is freakin GORGEOUS over there (even if Cathi DOES live there), and we have not been in the northwest since the Vancouver convention, and most (including me) were not around here then.
BUT, Cali, Texas, Niagra, where ever, O.U.C.H. picks from the places YOU are willing to host!
PUT your applications in NOW!!! The sooner the better!
