A month ago I was sat in my doctors discussing the suggestions that the neuro had made for when my next cluster arrives next year. My doctor noticed I was coughing and said I should have a chest x-ray. I then got a call to say something wasn't clear on the x-ray and I should have a scan to rule out a tumour. Great, I thought. I've just come through an 8 week cycle, gave up smoking 9 weeks ago, and now I might have a tumour. Anyway, I went for the scan and have just got the results today giving me the all clear - what a fantastic feeling after a month of worry.

| I had a cardiologist tell me one time that sometimes when a patient coughs that it is not always respiratory. That sometimes one coughs to stimulate the vagus nerve to help correct a cardiac disrythymia. I dont know your age or history but sometimes a cough is a cough. But to quote George Carlin "somtimes a cigar is just a cigar, and sometime it is just well we will leave it at that." Rodger

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
