Bob finds a treatment

When the law can be painful By Fred Reed May 5, 2007 The Washington Times Until recently, I had never heard of cluster headaches, and neither had my friend Bob, which isn't his name for reasons that will soon be evident. Bob was in his late 40s with no medical problems. Out of nowhere he began having headaches. These were not the two-aspirin kind, or even migraines. They were monsters. I realized this one night at his house. For an hour he lay on the floor, screaming. We're not talking moaning and grousing. Screaming. The rest at: http://washingtontimes.com/technology/20070504-103153-8610r.htm

Great article Tommy! Thanks for sharing it. Excerpt from article: "When a seriously painful medical condition is cured by an illegal substance, the cure being substantiated by premier researchers at as good a medical institution as exists, what do we do? Nobody here is looking for a legal excuse to use illegal drugs. They just don't want to roll on the floor, screaming. When medical technology and the law are in conflict, human decency suggests making medical exceptions to the law." Human decency SHOULD make medical exceptions to the law.

Good stuff. I do, however, hate it when journalist-types start throwing the word "cure" around indiscriminately.

Thanks for the post! We need to pass this along to some of our congressmen and senators.

One thing he left out was that the dosage is taken in CONTROLLED doses not to get high... I thought that part was a little vague. But all in all it was a good article and should go to a few congressman and senators (maybe a few who are running for president right now -- see what they have to say about it... might be interesting). But it should be legalized to help people who don't have any other avenues of treatment. Hugs BD

43 days and counting... ...after so many many years of this unholy pain...my (controled) baby doses has made the difference between fear of the future to knowing I have a means of caging this beast. Not perfect yet..but life is not perfect and this beast loves to toss us new rules. No regrets thus far. I've got him caged ...for now.
