I Love New York!

Several people have asked about our trip to New York to see our son, Zack, perform at Carnegie Hall. I've been holding off on posting an update until I got pictures developed. We took 11 rolls and of course none of them were marked as to what was on what roll. A picture is worth a thousand words, so here is some of our trip to New York and Carnegie Hall: http://gatorspics.shutterfly.com Eric met us at the airport and welcomed us to New York. It was so great seeing you again, bro. It is not allowed to take pictures inside Carnegie Hall, but we took this before we were told not to: Zack Performed at 9:30 with the Wind Ensemble and again at 11:30 with the Orchestra. We didn't want to get kicked out, so we obeyed the rules during the Wind Ensemble performance, but some other parent took these pictures of the stage at Carnegie Hall: and the Orchestra on the stage. The Carnegie Hall staff immediately warned them not to take any more pics. Our musician, Zack The Stillwater High School Wind Ensemble Jane on Times Square Me at Battery Park I'll be adding pics as we get more film developed and y'all can look at them as you see fit, but I have to say this: The people we met on the streets of New York were very nice and helpful when we had to stop and ask for directions here or there. We never took a cab, we either walked, rode the trains or rode the subways. Never once did we feel nervous or threatened walking around or riding the trains and subways. I know New York has it's bad side as does any city large or small, but the Big Apple was on her best behavior for the three days we were there. We loved New York and we will return there someday to see the things we missed.

Dude, those pics are awesome. You parents must be proud. Those pics bring back memories. I used to live right there in battery park city. I used to go walking on that same path by the river. PF wishes B$ PS, how did your head treat you whilst you were there?

| Its weird, I usually get hit 3 - 5 times per day. On this trip, I got hit once on the flight to New York and once on the flight home. I never got hit one time while we were in New York. The one on the trip home ramped up faster than the trex shot could kill it, so it kind of freaked out a flight attendant and a passenger across the aisle from us. They were asking if I was alright and if there was something they could do. Jane just waved them off saying I had taken medication for the attack and the best thing to do was to leave me alone. The beast tried to make up for lost time once we got home, but it was a glorious three days.

Glad you and Jane did some New York for the occasion. Congratulations again to Zack for getting to Carnegie Hall! You and Eric together look like ZZ Top meeting Lou Reed in NY, if they cleaned up real well.

OMG WOW!!! I just now got this. Apparently, someone DID take a picture of the Wind Ensemble on stage. The little red arrow at the bottom right of the picture points to Zack. Thanks for the compliments, everyone. Yes, we are proud of him. Zack is just knocked out that so many people would be interested in him and also says thank you.

Thanks for posting the piccies Gator ! Its wonderful as parents to see your children doing well, isnt it? I can just imagine how proud you must have felt sitting in Carnegie Hall listening to and watching your son played. Well done to Zac too. It takes a lot of practice, hard work, dedication and talent to get to that stage. CONGRATULATION and may you enjoy a life long joy that music brings. Hugs Annette
