At Church. It is one of our fundraisers. Usually serve between 950 and 1000 dinners Shocked Our parish is made up of mostly people of Italian desent so ya know the food is good. I'll be in charge of cooking the pasta. Last time I made 110 lbs. (dry weight) long spaghetti. Datsa lotsa pasta! And 2000 meatballs to boot.

We do get to drink beer while we are working, so that makes it even more fun Grin

Jimbo - Ya gotta give more advance warning than this. Already have plans, but could have changed them.

Actually, I couldn't have changed today's plans. We're headed to my grandpa's 95th birthday party, and I'm singing a few of his favorite songs with a barbershop quartet consisting of my uncle, my cousin, my brother, and me.

Throw some in a tupperware and I'll meet up with you this week! It sounds delicious! Grin

I'm planning on grilling steaks, a rice piloff, and a veggie of some sort, just haven't decided yet.

Yesterday was grilled pork tenderloin medalions...

I hope spring stays around for a while.  I love cooking out.

Wait . . . no crusty bread or mushrooms?  Brew's gonna be so disappointed.

We grilled some lovely Sheboygan brats yesterday . . . yum!

Today it's Lutheran church pot luck . . . heavy on the red jello and whipped cream dishes, I'm certain.

Oh yes....always mushrooms and crusty bread...thats a given. In fact todays bread choice is 12 whole grain bread.  Only Dyl and I eat the mushrooms, but thats fine...more for us.   bloos  If there is a good special on asparagus today I'll probably put some of those on the grill as well.

Gee Pegg...won't they fall through?  I guess you could use clothespins though.  If you used cedar ones, it would add some flavor too.    smartass2

You can use skewers and make an asparagus raft.  They are easy to flip that way too.

Thants exactly how I do it.  It's quick and easy, and the smoke from the coals imparts a wonder flavor when basted lightly with a bit of butter.

6PM sharp central time, but the menu changed slightly.  Store was out of both the 12 grain bread we so love, so it's a 3 foot loaf of crusty french, and no asparagus... bigcry

Broccoli was reasonable so we'll be having that instead.  Ahhhhh I'm hungry just thinking about it all....

Yummy still!  Asparagus has been hit and miss here too.
There has been a slight modification of menu since my honey has an upset tummy.  Vegetable soup, french bread and the swedish refrigerator rolls.
There are quite a few foodies around here aren't there? (even if it does involve sheeps headWink

As you know, living with this beast affords us the oppertunity to savor some of the simple pleasures many others take for granted.  A delectable home cooked meal with your family all gathered at the table.  A glass of wine, and laughter.

Ah Redd - you are a poet - truer words have never been spoken.

When I was younger I took food for granted - it was just fuel.

Now I enjoy the selecting, preparing, and even cleaning up so much more with good company and pain free times.
