Need Prayers and vibes.

For about a week now I have had a boil. Those things hurt. Well my boil is in my private area. Not on the side but on the right lip. The most tender spot on a woman. If I sit down it hurts. If I walk it hurts, if I pee it hurts. If I wear underwear it hurts. I sit kind of on my back instead of my butt. I also walk side to side. When I pee its a cross between how a man pees and how a male dog pees. I have to kind of squat with my right leg held to the side way up above my hip. Do not want any pee to get on it or it burns like hell. I run around in long dresses because I can't wear underwear. Buddy and Deveny have had a field day with my pain. They have laughed so much at me. My favorite word has become OUCH. Last night I was laying on the sofa with one leg over the back of the sofa and one leg down. The dog decided he wanted to chase the cat, so here comes the cat jumps on the sofa and over the back, just missing me, but the dog was close behind. She jumped just right and stepped right on that boil. OH May God. I screamed grabbed myself. Saw stars, fell off the sofa and on to the floor and was flopping like a fish out of water. Tears in my eyes, I know I should have been saying "Praise the Lord" God forgive me, that wasn't what came out of my mouth. Buddy and Deveny were laughing so hard they were in tears. The pain finally stops, I get up wabble to the bath room, hoping that this has cause it to burst. Taking a mirror and checking things out, I find things still the same. Disappointed I go back into the living room to still see Buddy and Deveny enjoying my pain. Buddy said if it doesn't bust on its own I need to see a Doctor. No body is going to cut me there and me be a wake, I can tell you that NOW. They would have to strap me down for their safety. So pray for the doctors and nurses, that this thing bust on its own. Pray for me that the pain ends soon. The thought of going into a doctors office and saying fix this is not a pleasant thought. Please send lot of Prayers and Vibes. Tell Buddy and Deveny its not funny ! I would stomp my feet but that would hurt too.

Ouch. Sweetie...trust me...getting it lanced will hurt for a minute, but it's way better than trying to live with it there. I had one on the outside of my ear once...I can't even imagine having one there. Slide over to the phone, and call your doc today, hon. You won't regret it. Only you...LOL BIG hugs, nani

Sorry Elaine sounds like a visit to the doc is called for. No sense going through days of pain and finding out it has to be done anyway.I'm sure the doctor has seen this before. Now as for Devany and Buddy well....ya look at devany and say your young and another baby is always possible. When it does don't get mad if I laugh at the hemmeroids and other unpleasants that go with it.then wave your arms around chant and do a curse.....but I know you really wouldn't laugh at HER pain but she might get the point. Now Buddy is easy Grab him at his little brain and say....looking him right in the eye 'Don't make me hurt you !!." But gotta admit all of us women have laughd at times when men have ummm...slightly hurt their "Wee willy wonkas"Good luck .. Minnie

Hey Elaine, I actually laughed at how graphic you were ...I have been a medical asst for a long time...a great thing to do is go to the drug store and get "black suave"...Ichatomaol ointment...it smell like tar..but is draw out infection...Put a dab on boil..cover area with a lg. band aid or something the best you can...your body heat helps as well as keeping a heating pad on it...when you're lying on the couch or in bed...and hot baths...it will get softer and more bearable...and you'll know when you can push it...and it will burst. Make sure you put the pads of your fingers on each side when you go to burst it...and hold a gauze pad over it too...that will fly out with alot of force...and you can to to the ER...the numb the area...and break it...and then it's over with....it's not a cyst....so I doubt they will lance it...but I would be dying to get the pressure off...it does hurt and will get huge if it rubs against material...so you're doing the right thing...another thing someone told me to try...heat an empty baby food jar to as hot as you can stand...put over boil and press gently...if it's ready it will burst...but you do have to soften it and draw everything up to the surface...if you don't you will get it back...in the ER after they drain it, the flush it with saline and put medicated gauze in....to ensure it wont be back....best of luck...Sherri

Ok ok...I'll fess up...I've had to deal with this once upon a time as well, and it's NOT fun. I have had to have a Doc "lance" the boil, and it proved to be an ingrown hair. Get it done, they will give you antibiotics, and you get to soak in a hot bath 3x a day or more untill it fully drains. cuz I cant spell for shit tonight

I am soo sorry you are going through this. It's not funny at all!! When I was 6 weeks post partum with my daughter I had close to the same thing. I was in so much pain I actually handed my husband a razor blade and told him to cut it! He almost did it, but my screaming made him stop. Went to the ER. If you go, the only advice I have is to ask for a double shot of Demerol BEFORE they even tough you "down there". Vibes going your way. Beth

I'll fess up, too. Not just once. Not a couple of times. I have a condition called hidradenitis suppurativa. I get 'em in clusters (imagine that) on my backside and all around my perineum. I'm 46 now and I've had this since I was 16. Average number of breakouts per year = 6. Each breakout lasts 2-3 weeks. I've pretty much run the gamut on anitbiotics. Some work okay short-term, but like CH, there is no cure. I've gone under the knife 3 times for it, two of which I was actually under general anesthesia. Elaine, you're right. No fun whatsoever. Sitting, walking, laying down, getting up, peeing, pooping, showering, sleeping - none of it gets done without massive amounts of pain. Fortunately with these things, narcotics actually do help. My best advice - get a script for antibiotics and a good, strong narcotic pain reliever as soon as possible, and in the meantime, moist heat. I usually sit on a heating pad with a damp cloth on top of it. But be careful - like cooking a frog by slowly bringing up the temp, you can become unaware of how hot it gets. You'll end up with blisters on your tuckus. You have my deepest empathy.

| Unfortunately, local anesthetics do little to nothing with these types of raging infection. Seems the pH of the infected area has a tendency to neutralize the anesthetic, rendering it useless. Believe me, I've been there, done that, outgrew the t-shirt. It is THE WORST pain I've ever had. Only lasted 5 minutes, but it was worse than a Kip 10.

To hear Buddy tell the story it is funny Now. I been using lots of hot water, and I put campho-phenique on it. The pain isn't as bad. Sherri, Buddy went to CVS and bought some of the black salve, your right it does smell. Thanks for telling me! But getting a band aid to stick there was not easy. Linda, remind me to tell you one on Buddy next time I see you. JACKIE MY whoo-haa IS Better. Now you can laugh, like you haven't already
