long time since i posted so here goes....
Hi everybody !
I am travelling to cancun ,Mexico on sunday for a weeks honeymoon Grin Grin(yup time for me to get hitched again)
i was wondering if anyone knows if Trex is availiable otc there as there has been a screw up with my 'script and i dont have enough to last a week if things get bad(hopefully not but i aint going there 'unarmed' so to speak).
also would a dive shop be able to supply o2 and a reg if need be?
thanks in advance for any input

Dive shops fil their tanks with compressed air, not concentrated O2, I believe.
There are pharmacia's in CAncun - biring a copy of your script maybe they can fill it.

No dive shop would carry straight O2!  It will kill you below 32 feet of water.

Med supply or welding shop is where you will find O2.

You do not need a prescription for Imitrex, but the name in Mexico is Imigran or just ask for sumatriptan, I have not seen any shots there just the pills, but you can always ask, the only problem is that you can't bring back what you bought down there unless you have your prescription with you, so take it anyway.
in case you need oxigen you will have to go to a hospital or a private clinic and I am not sure if they will have the proper mask so take your clustermask with you.
In case you do not find Imitrex (again Imigran)  in shots I usually find Zomig rapid melt or Maxalt and they work ok for me.
Good Luck and enjoy your trip, say hello to the fish in Cozumel  Grin

I went to Mexico with my brother.  We went down to El Golfo I believe it is  called on the strait of Cortez....I went to the pharmacys there and I was told one Imitrex  Nasel spray was 20.00  Couldn't afford that.

Good thing too...I was checked from head to toe coming back into the states and had to get rid of a carton of cigarettes that I had brought in for the trip.   Pi$$ed me off big time.  They were MY cigs...

Don't even get me started on what is coming over the border illegally.

Well wishes for you on getting married.

  Personally I'd go to Canada.

it is unbelievable. I done it a few years ago. they take you down about 120 ft and then back up to about 100ft and then the dive instructors start chumming for sharks and about 8 caribbean reef sharks appear out of nowhere. and they are probably the only fish i remember down there. it is very very cool.
