I just purchased (ordered) Dylans "suit" for Prom... Of course, he's not the usual "wear a Tux" sort, he wanted an oriental type suit.... so what say you folks... I think it'll be awsome. He's not one to stick with tradition, but make his own statement. I think it suits his personality well.

He just passed his yellow green belt in Tae Kwon Do last week. I think it's very appropriate.

| Yes he does...Dominique... I'm headed to bed...work in then morning, and I'm exhasted from ordering the suit, and the appropriate shoes of course whose shipping cost more than the damn shoes... But all said and done, I spent less than 80 bucks for his Prom outfit. And he keeps it, with no rental fiascos as with tux's. to add: He's not so little Jeff. He's a good 5 inches taller than Mom, and I ordered an XL for him due to his chest size. I'll take in the pants if needed, but this "kid" had broader shoulders than his 6'1" father.

I don't know from clothing--but coming from an era when tuxedos were available in lemon yellow, I'd say it looks positively conservative. Go for it, Dylan. Best, George

GQ guy says NO. Although smoothe, not quite appropriate nor chill for prom. Then again, I'm from NY. I'd be blazing a black pinstripe Ralph Lauren with a smoothe tie. He can sport his uniqueness in Tie, socks and shoes. Go Zoot Suit Slammin'!

I appreciate your sence of style Eric... ...but GQ is exactly what Dylan does NOT want to go for. Mr. Goth wouldn't be caught dead (pun intended) in anything by Lauren or Armani, or any such nonsence.

| I'm sorry to burst your wonderful boy's sense of being BUT there is no goth anymore!!!!!!!!!!!! Goth was what I was and still am into. Bauhaus The cure Joy Division The Damned Echo Type O Negative Siouxsie, etc. These days........puhleez. and This dude still managed GQ. It is more against the grain to look good then to follow what the trend (new goth) is. Off my 1980's soapbox. He'll be cool eitherway but moreso if he goes against whatever trend is in. E

If you lived in Los Angeles or New York, it would probably not be noticed. If I were you Pegg, I would ask Dylan to ask his buddies what they were wearing. If they are all wearing traditional tuxes....he could be in for some ribbing.

None of his buddies would rib him. If they are wearing traditional tux's it will be because they are forced to by their parents, and not of their own desires, if they go at all. It's my understanding Dylan is the only dude in his group that has a girlfriend to take. I know Austin's parents and if he goes he'll be wearing something similar as Dyl. Another reason he chose this attire is because his girlfriend is planning on wearing an Oriental style gown. They want to match. Besides, Dyl has really come into his own, knows and is comfortable in his skin, and really doesn't care what others think. (sort of like his Mom ) I'm going to let him stick to his choice. If there are ramifications he'll learn that through natural consequences. But I truely believe he and Dominique have thought this through. As a Mom, I'm more concerned with talking with him about what other poor decisions he could make on this night, (drinking, drugs, sexual activity) than I am about what he's wearing.
