The best site for CH has

Now I am a pretty tolerant guy. for the most part I believe in all people and hold nothing against people of any belief or sexual persuasion. In fact I enjoy the differing perspectives.
This place has become pretty hard to read between the lines and a few simple comments ruin all the good it can do.
After not coming here for a couple weeks I read comments like holding sperm up your ass, I get to be the first to fuck him by another guy, taking it in the bung hole and on and on and on turn my stomach.
Keep it to yourself or have I misjudged and this is a gay site and I am out of place. I have a few gay friends but they have a hell of a lot more tact than the trash I see posted here.
I know I dont have to read those posts but they pop up in many posts. I havent been on here every day any longer but still.
I certainly would have difficulty reccomending this site any longer and feel sorry for those less tolerant than myself. Especially I feel for the minors who have come here seeking help and have to read some of the disgusting stuff.
Its wonderfull to be open about your sexuality or faith but I personally and a few others dont want to here about your twisted sexual realities.
I guess I just prefer to be able to offer a few help points for those who suffer, the beauty of life and the realities outside of your pants. I must be alone in this as many others who cared have left.
I still believe its a good site but it went downhill fast. Those that truly need the help may be running out the door faster than they come in.
I will most likely delete this post in a few days unless its deleted first as its really not my place to say all this. I believe in free speech as long as it harms no other and what I see can and does harm the collective good works of many.
My apologies to those I offend in turn.

Yes, there have been a lot more sexually explicit comments than usual lately. A few months ago, there were a lot of racial comments. A while before that is was religion...or was it religion then racial... Anyways, the content here ebbs and flows as it always has. We may be back to religion next week - or aliens. Who knows?
I may not like everything that is posted here, but I don't focus on it either or at least I try not to. If I swore off everyone and everything that offended me at one time or another, I'd be left sitting and talking to myself all day. For that matter, I'd probably have to just shoot myself and be done with me as well.
What's important is that we rush to each others' aid when someone is down or needs help or information. When the commentary gets a little over the top in one area or the other, try focusing on that.

Lobster I tried to instal several different porn blockers so I wouldn't see offensive material. Unfortunetly because of certain pictures and the swearing on this site it makes this site banable and therefor I can't see it at all. So my only choice is ban ch.com altogether or deal with the offensive material. I have learned in general over the years who the guilty parties are and have learned to avoid reading their posts. I think this is sad because I am sure these individuals have something valuable to post as well that I will miss.

I usually don't get into stuff like this, but....
There's too much good on this site to quibble over the stuff we don't like. If there's something that you don't like skip over it. There's no rule that says you have to read everything. What one person thinks funny might offend another. That's just what happens when you get this many personalities in one place.
As Gator says - let someone need help and we all have the same goal - to help.

I have been quite busy lately and have not read as many posts as I have in the past, but we probably have been reading different posts because I haven't seen anything that offending. Lucky me.
But I agree what has been posted before; skip the material you do not like and keep the rest. Personally I skip the too political titles, because I've seen flames come and go there in the past.

I just don't understand why you feel the need to shit all over this site...this is the General Message Board.... which to me means pretty much any and all goes! If you come here strickly for support, stay on the CH Only Message Board.... I come to the general board most days so I can get to know people, make jokes, laugh, cry, support a sick child, grandchild, family member.... and I have NEVER been offended.... to each his own..... and I don't fault someone for stepping over a line...we are all fighting a battle that we will NEVER win, so sometimes we might vent in other ways and we're not all the same, I think the consensus is that if you are offended, don't read! Do we have to start putting warning labels on our posts now?....geez....

c'mon april...it's been pretty damned raw around here very recently. and if someone wants to hold up their hand and say "hey guys, can you keep it just a little bit less whatever" I don't think that is "shitting all over the site". The site needs some criticism from time to time -- and it isn't shitting all over the site.
if you aren't offended - then fine. But, sometimes others can be. And, just as anyone has a right to be raw, anyone else has a right to call someone on it.

When making a post I try to keep this in mind... If my mother would read what I've written, would she be embarrassed to say I'm her son? (I have some extremely conservative family members who would rinse their eyes with holy water after reading some of the posts here... so I don't invite them here.)
I only have control of what I do... if someone has a different style of expressing themselves then who am I to try and censor them... this is the world wide web. The people here are here to be supportive... and they do that flawlessly, I will not dismiss them as unworthy because they express themselves differently then me. If I did that I'd be talking to a mirror all day.

OK, I have withheld commenting on this thread, as I was not sure what to say. I DID send a private appology to MJ, though.
I am fairly certain a lot of my comments fall into his comments. I DO tend to have a sick, demented sense of humor, BUT I never intended to offend people.
Virtually everyone has accepted me, as me ... a gay guy. When I came out, on the board, here, I got FANTASTIC support, publicly, and privately via PM's, email, and phone calls. Another reason why I love all y'all so much.
That being said, it does NOT give me free rein to be rude, crude and disgusting, on the open board. For that, I am sorry. I DO try to post some levity, to put a smile on our faces, let's face it, many times we NEED that. BUT, I NEVER intended to be obnoxious, and offensive.
I will watch what I post, in the future.
