Yorky, I did the prevent drain and switchback, keep the O2 loaded and trex handy. The gradual verap ramp up will not catch it for awhile, even when arriving back at 720 like it did before, hits are the routine and always be ready. It's tough to get it back in the cage again. Hang in and hang tough with it bro!!!

I hear ya Yorky. I'm about ready to go there myself, I had 3 PF hours yesterday, otherwise, it's been every 90 damn minutes, and I can't control them. Almost a constant HA. I'm sorry to hear you had to go. I am with a friend who has Ch, and at least he can tell them what I need, because I can't talk like this. Hang in there. We'll do it together, if you can, I can. (I hope)

Hey Yorkey...isn't almost EVERY trip the hospital during a hit like that??? It seems to me the norm...to be treated either like shit, or as if absolutely nothing is wrong...YOU'RE over reacting...probably just want a shot of demoral...drug addict...all that screaming, crying, rolling about..."those drug addict's will do just about anything, I've heard about them.." You know what I would find shocking? When Im in the emergency room losing my mind, eye tearing like crazy, nose running all over...for a nurse or a dr. to gently take my hand, lead me to oxygen, turn it on, hand me the mask..gently and reassuringly pat my back, turn off the lights and close the door almost all the way...then come back in about ten or twenty minutes...and ask, "Are you ok now? Tell me what happened tonite...." That IS THE WAY WE ALL DESERVE TO BE TREATED...AND THAT'S THE POINT OF ALL OF THIS OUCH, MAGNUM...we will be treated that way...let''s make sure WE SEE IT AND EXPERIENCE IT. I am very sorry you were so ill, and treated so poorly..you need and deserve so much better than that..Please rest if you are able, lie down if you can...if you'r stomach is ok...have some warm tea and wrap yourself in a soft blanket....it's over...for now..you're ok.. I got my trex, cigs, O2, caffeine, been at it all day. Since Thursday at 6pm. Thing is, if it's at the point to go to the hospital, all that shit ain't working anymore. Wish someone would just knock me out, why can't I just pass out??? I just wish there was something to kill the pain NOW, instantly, when it's like this. Christ.

Take it with you if you have if you ever need to go to A&E again and if not tell me and I'll get some more to you. I'm only a couple of hours away and I might feel like shit but I'm not so bad I won't drive up there and kick your arse and you know it!! love Helen xxx

Yorky...... and Chris and Sherri, I hope things improve for you all very soon! Now I have to defend the Drs. and nurses........ I go to 2 hospitals (if have to)........ the small one is "just" the regional one (15min. Drive)......... and the "big" one is in the city of St. Gallen (45 min. Drive) where my neuro is as well as the pain clinic is located...... and the GP in the village where we live..... As soon as I was Diagnosed with CH, I have asked the neuro, as well as the pain clinic to see to it that both ER's are ewer of my condition...... and know what to do.... which they did! And my GP, so she can help me if needed! CH is a very little known condition........ and it is up to us to see that we have the info. Spared around! no one will do it for US! It is our responsibility to see that the close ER to where we live is informed and aware of our condition! And don’t wait until the "house" is burning..... I have seen what you all talk about the ignorens..... about our condition....... but if you want to change things........ venting on this boards (which is very much legitimate) go out when you are pain free or in a low cycle and try to educate....... try to be ambassadors’ of our cause........... at times you’ll encounter refusal at times you’ll encounter willingness............. but the bottom line is TAKE THE TIME and contact the people that you will need when the pain is back..... and explain them what you need...... that is the only way..... and the good way..... do not expect any one do it for you! I might anger some of you…………. but self responsibility is required….. you have to go out there and communicate and educate…… and the excuse of no time…. no one listens yes at times it will happened but the one that listen will then pass to one more and so on….. but to just blame…. and cry they are Ignorant………… is to take the easy way…….. and on the end of the day you have achieved nothing! Michael

| That is a frustration, for sure, but nothing we can do about it. What we CAN do is get the word out, and teach people that there IS a difference. It is called, getting the word out. It is NOT just a headache. There are about 130 different, defined, headache types. It is up to us to inform people, especially medical professionals what Cluster Headaches are, and how to help someone, who is in the midst of an attack. You would be needlessly beating your head against the wall (how appropriate a phrase for us!), to get the name changed. Chuck

Listen...I really am pissed off...really..not just at the individual that sent that kind, informative post about how proative he is,etc. at the responses of "Perfectly said" Obviously none of you read my entire post or paid attention to it...York, I appreciate your diplomacy...I said all of the same things whoever he was said...without a longwinded account praising myself on how organized, and proactive I am. I have done all the same..."Mr OUCH, MAGNUM AND CLUSTER HEADACHE OF THE MILLENIUM"...I was empathizing with a friend who was frustrated and not feeling well...but if this was his hundreth post of it...and doing nothing....If you sir, are implying Im here to whine and cry...HOW DARE YOU..you know NOTHING ABOUT ME AND WHAT I DO AND HAVE DONE..I've been chronic for thirteen years...so take comfort Ive done alot of educating....and I too am pre-registered...Glad to hear it's always sunny where you live..and the drs are all blowing sunshine out of their asses upon your arrival...but many of us have been through alot...and we want to change it..and we are..Oh .. IS THAT WHY IM A MEMBER OF OUCH??? If it werent for your post....I wouldve just complained and done nothing...Thank God we have you to set us straight...and to plaguerize OUCH literature... "Just as it is important to say the right thing at the right time...more important is not to say the wrong thing at the TEMPTING time"....at first I commended your actions..then you were enjoying yourself too much. So Cmon York, Chris let's go back to complaining and doing nothing....while our superiors do all the work....Sherri

Hi Sherri (If I may call you in your first name) No I don’t know you….. ! And if in any way you feel I was attacking you personally or offended you in any way, sorry, it was never my intention nor was I trying to emplay or reflect in any way that you sit idol or any other implication! I do apologize to you! But I did not use such an abusive language………. the way you do…… and I can say about my self that I do not (ever) engage in “mud fights” nor do I point fingers at an individual nor on the boards or at other communication methods our community is using…… I can also say that I respect each and every one in our community…….. and if I disagree with them, I let them know, but use a respectful language at all times! Unless I am very wrong we have all the right to our opinion….. and we have to expect also to be criticized…… but we should do it in a proper manner and in an polite way……. constructive and educated (argumented) discussion is not only good its productive! Sherri, I am relatively new to this boards, and I believe you are to……. some respect and friendliness is a much better way to gain respect of others especially in such a tight community….. Again I do apologize to you if I had offended you…… but at the same time I do belive in what I posted…… Chris and Yorke……. If you find yourself offended by my post my apology is to you to! Michael

Dear Michael" I apologize at the strength of my reaction...and to you personally...really....I am not trying to gain anything except understanding...after years of frustration...and not being believed and turned away...after working very hard to be diplomatic...my dad has a video business...I begged him for years to film me during a hit...to show to dr's...to show...someone...and I did not have a good support system....this is so emotional...I am sorry...truly.. and appreciate your feedback and response....it hit a nerve and hopefully I will never have to be "touchy" ever again after I get to know some people that get it.... I feel like I've been in a fishbowl,at the bottom of the ocean, screaming at the top of my lungs for thirteen years...and noone ever listened...I thank God I am here to even have the difference of opinion...Sorry Michael...I should have just breathed for awhile before responding.....Sherri
