I just recieved an e-mail stating that my PAYPAL account is low. The email contained a link to a website that claims to be PAYPAL but it IS NOT. They were trying to get my username & password. The thing is: I don't have a PAYPAL account !! Don't fall for it !! ( Or you will lose your money ) UNsolved

Right. I get those things about once a week. It's always B.S. but if you want to verify your account DO NOT go through the link nor confirm anything. Go to your regular long way around password entry. I can't say it enough. Charlie

We used to get those several times a week until we got a really good spam filter. Reported them as a matter of course to Paypal. (The folks at Paypal really, really like hearing about the scam websites--as near as I can tell, there are zillions.) Same phishing deal as the emails from your "bank" asking for your personal information. Don't click, don't answer, report 'em. It's interesting. I haven't been getting nearly as many letters from Nigerian millionaires lately, and it's been nearly a month since I've won the Irish Lottery. Best, George

Ah! The foreigners put on such airs Wearing the tangerine suits And their harlequin eyes. The pain they inspire Draws in harmonica melodies And the feathers of birds Which flame up at their touch. It all comes to light in the sheer Debonair. (Ellen)

| That reminds me ... some rich guy in Nigeria says he needs my help to move millions ... and if I help him, he'll give me millions. All I have to do is give him my bank account numbers and he'll deposit the cash. I just haven't gotten around to emailing him back yet. UNsolved

If you get an email from paypal, and you think it's not real, and most of them aren't, forward it to spoof@paypal.com. If it's real, or a fake, they will tell you, and pretty quickly too. Same goes for ebay. spoof@ebay.com They respond right away too.
