My Week In Hell

Hello;

   I went out of town, last friday to Utah and thought i had a headache. Monday I went to the Dentist complaining that my teeth hurt. They said I needed a wisdom tooth removed.

That same day I saw another dentist, that said i needed a root canal. Tuesday i saw the specialist, that decided i did not need a root canal, but would eventually need my wisdom tooth out and a filling or two.

the whole time i was in immense pain, my left eye would not stop tearing up, everyone thought i was sad. I have had migraines, but this was something way worse.

I just wanted to die. The doctor i saw tuesday after the dentist decided i had a sinus infection. by the end of the week, i had taken 800 mg of motrin, 1000 mg of amoxicillan, 100 mg of Darvocet, than they had me take 875 mg pills of augmentin.

I missed this entire week of work. i had a catscan today, that thankgod came back negative, they said i dont have a sinus infection. than my doctor, who was working overtime, called me at 8pm and said she thought i had a cluster headache.

i googled it, and started to read about it online. Sure enough, when i read the wikipedia definition it sounded like all the hell i have been through this past week.

i'm thankful to have the diagnosis, but sorry that i had to be the human guenie pig, in order to figure it out. i hate taking over the counter meds.

i just want to feel normal again. this week i lost my appatite, i thought i was in hell literally, and im ashamed to say i thought about suicide. Although my friend tells me thats normal, as long as you have no intention to act on it.

thanks for listening. Starting to feel slightly better, thinking about going to work...! Have a great weekend.

Welcome here. Sorry you have to be here. Look to the left, and you will find lots of reading material. Oxygen works great as an abortive. Read, read, read, and get thee to a neurologist who specializes in headaches.

There are lots of meds to try to keep these under control, so read up on the left. Print out what you need, and take it to the neuro.

Welcome again, and any questions you have, just ask.

I'm sorry we need to welcome you.  But WELCOME ABOARD!!

Funny (if possible) things is, my dentist was the first one to introduce me to oxygen for an abortive, long before I found this site.  I was having a procedure done, when the beast stopped in for a visit.  I told them they had to stop, while I dealt with it.  The dentist walked in with the oxygen.

I blew my mind that it worked, AND that he knew to give it to me!
