Gotta add...
Dont throw out those margarine or butter wrappers. Keep them in the fridge in a baggy to use for greasing a pan or bowl. It saves your hands from getting greasy too!

The hydogen peroxide really works getting blood out. My daughter was in a car accident and broke her nose. Of course she was upset that her white hollister shirt was ruined (teenagers). Used the peroxide and the shirt looks like new. Just a warning, do not use on colored clothes, only whites.

Thanks Tony -- I just added those to my book (I'm writing a book on Horse-sense and have a chapter on household hints). Hope you don't mind -- there's some good stuff here.
Also you might try SALT -- it's good for getting out wine stains. If you spill red wine on a table cloth - sprinkle salt (lot of it) on stain - let dry and brush off -- stain comes off with it.
Also works on RED cool aide on carpet. Caleb spilled a whole glass of red cool aide on light gray carpet. I did this and let it stand overnight= next morning vacuumed it right up -- no stain at all -- warning -- had to clean the rest of the carpet cause the cool aide spot was "too" clean.
Efferdent Tablets (2) in a pan with baked on goop, let stand overnight and wash out the next morning -- no more baked on goop (Papaw used to wonder why he used so many Efferdent Tablets! )
I esp like the Alka Seltzer for cleaning jewlery -- gotta try that one. I'm tired of people asking me if my diamonds are "black diamonds". (Did I mention I HATE to clean jewlery).
Anyhow thanks again for the hints. They are great.

Since I have dogs, I never use any kind of chemical sprays to kill the weeds that tend to grow between the patio blocks out back. I've used this recipe for the last few years and it works very well.
1 gallon white vinegar
1 cup table salt
1 tablespoon dish detergent
Mix above ingredients, pour into spray container and spray directly on weeds.

When you first said "since I have dogs" I thought you were going to say that you got your dogs to pee on the weeds that grow between the cracks in the patio.......  .... seems to work fine on my grass. I have a 12 year old, diabetic lab who scurries to get to the edge of the grass, same spot everytime -- she tougher than roundup on anything that grows there.

What works on blood is isotonic saline and it works on colored clothes too. ~ 1 tsp in a quart of cold water. It keeps the red cells from lysing and releasing hemoglobin which is the red in blood.
Fry pan have burned on food? Electric drill and wire brush
