Physical Exhaustion at the end of Cycle

This cycle has been a rough ride. 7 weeks with some very rough hits. My cycle hopefully ended on Wednesday. From Thursday thru Saturday I have been both physically and emotionally drained. I slept most of the day yesterday (Saturday) and spent the day on the couch after attempting to clean the house and only got the kitchen floor scrubbed. Not thinking clearly and memory loss seemed to be the word for the day. Something chemically (hormonally?) changed within me and it changed abruptly. Today I feel refreshed today and ready to get on with the cleaning. Anyone else experience this after your cycle ends? Actually I realized while writing this and having to edit it, my mind is not refreshed. It is better than yesterday though

I become extremely drained after each hit... and since I've become chronic I'm drained allot, combine that with chronic depression and it's a wonder I have enough strength to wipe the drool from my chin. But... there are others who have it far worse than me... they don't even realize they're drooling. I still can not get used to the fear of sleep. It's like getting ready to go into battle while having to somehow manage to relax. I thank god daily for the greatest affects of being afflicted with CH, It helps one to develop a strong sense of empathy for all those who suffer and... most importantly, hones ones sense of humor. I feel like I've been given a scholarship in God's Clown School. anyway... I hope you feel better soon pie. with warm regards, Tony

Pieface, For me, I think it's merely the lack of sleep that will cause exhaustion. Fortunately the last couple of cycles were relatively brief (six weeks or less), and I was only awakened a few times in each cycle. The two cycles before that were 18 months each (chronic phases within what has been an episodic existence) and the beast woke me up almost every night, sometimes several times each night. If I didn't have my sleep apnea controlled now by a CPAP machine, I think I might not be here typing. I hope it ends soon for you. Bill

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
