Been a while since we've this thread... I'm feeling lazy tonight, so it's smoked sausage with brown sugar baked beans.

Possibly some hot tea or decaf coffee and a bowl of ice cream.

Last night was the "star" meal at the Brewhaus. From scratch, Famous Dave's recipe for chicken and wild rice soup. Chock full 'o goodies like chicken (of course), onions, carrots, celery, mushrooms, red and green pepper, shoepeg corn, and seasoned with salt, pepper, white pepper, cayenne, and nutmeg. Served with a little half and half and toasted almonds. Make about a gallon and a half, so there are plenty of leftovers.

When it's my Sunday with the kids, it's usually home made soup and fresh baked breads, but like I said I've been lazy all day today, so it was something fast and simple and no effort.....

| I can dig that "no effort" thing. Tonight mini-Brew made a spinach, goat cheese, red onion and candied pecan salad. The kid's got promise in the kitchen!

Parental unit took us out to dinner to celebrate our birthdays. Started with the raw bar....cherrystone clams, oysters on the half shell, clams casino, steamed shrimp and mussels followed by a yummy salad, scallops sauteed in butter and garlic, filet mignon, garlic potatoes, warm homemade bread and a few glasses of merlot. Great company and good food.....doesn't get any better than this!!! Came home and jumped into sweat pants with a huge elastic waistband. I am so glad birthdays only come around once a year. Gonna have to double up on the walks around the neighborhood this month. .

An ultra-thin crust Pizza smothered with: Romano, Parmigiano-Reggiano and Mozzarella Cheeses, then covered with a generous helping of Caesar marinated Chicken Breasts and a medley of spices. No tomato on this puppy. ...It seems that I had forgotten to eat yesterday... so this was a late night snack. Then.... Scrambled eggs with fried red peppers and boloney on a kaiser roll. SLURP!!! I wish you could have all tasted some. with warm regards, Tony

Last night - homemade chicken strips, french fries and onion rings seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder and Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning. Cooking them in peanut oil makes sure they cook up crisp and light without any greasy taste. Tonight, I'm thinking either Potato Soup or Swiss Steak.

Tonight is zesty Italian pot roast with red potatoes, carrot coins from our garden that are boiled and then baked with butter and brown sugar and for dessert is either peanut butter pie or pumpkin cream pie (I can't make up my mind yet).

| I'm thinking, "Top with a layer of chocolate pudding, then Cool Whip."
