Ok, I am going to pull all of my hair out very very soon! I purchased a used Compaq Armada for Lily, just a cheapo laptop that she could use her cdroms on. Well, had to send the 1st one back due to the USB port not working. Ok, finally got an exchanged one today, now I can't get 4 keys to work, the C, D, E & 3!!! I have had this problem with my old Inspiron before, and all I needed to do was uninstall the driver then reboot and it reinstalled and fixed the problem. Tried that with the Armada, no go. Anyone know what I can do?? TIA!! me

| lol Used laptops tend to have little problems like that, Mel. You can take it apart and clean the keyboard assembly. But they do die on you. You can look out on eBay for a replacement keyboard. I replace 1 or 2 a year for people who run into the same problem.

Paul, so I already popped off the C key, and cleaned under it, now I should pop off the others and do the same thing or should I just take the whole thing apart and check it that way?

Ok, had to take the whole thing up, busted off the tab that the screw goes into , but pulled out the flat thingy that connects the keyboard to the puter without even trying, seems it wasn't in completely, so I shoved it back in so it was nice and tight, put it all back together and now it works! PHEW! What a big PITA!
