Business Counsel Expo...the people you meet

Ok...so the Huge Business Expo was held today and I took my tirn maning the booth and hob-knobing with other businesses, and low and behold, I met up with two former co-workers. One of them is still with the radio station group, the other left tha radio group and now is with the local Mediacl Clinic in some capasity.
Rob, was a sales rep for the radio station I worked for years ago when I was office manager. Trisha was also a sales Rep, but no a very good one, yet she had a heart of gold, and is a sweetie. First person I saw was Rob, and he recognised me before I did him. He's changed in the last 7 years in so far as he's gotten bigger. And I do mean BIGGER! He's got to tip the scales at a good 600 lbs. So he's digging for information as to how I like it at the paper, how I'm doing, yadda yadda, I asked him to explain how WYTE went from Marathon Media Group, to NEW Radio Group to who or what they are now. As in true Rob fashion he evaded the question with rhetoric and self promotion.
Trisha on the other hand, showed me photos of her children she's borne since we last saw each other. Mind you I sang at her wedding and then she and Mitchell left town for a short time. same time I left the area and we just never hooked up since.
I think Rob was trying to recruit me, while Trisha was just wanting to catch up on old times.
It was all in all an educational experience since I've never worked a show like this let alone had reason to.
I think I made a few good networking connections and I think I've gotten at least one dedicated customer out of the deal.
We'll see but besides the goose egg on my shin from taking down the booth, I came out more educated and (almost) unskathed.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
