I take a few minutes before I see the doc to jot down questions I have because there have been times I have left the doc's office wishing I had remembered to ask her/him certain things. Trying to get back in touch with them after the appointment can sometimes be a bit frustrating unless you have a good doc.

I note that some neuros still tend to prescribe the CH equivalents of leeching and blood-letting, indicating that they have not kept up with modern CH treatments. Go to the meds boards and print a few of the more recent therapies links that some of our better members link to. For example, Oxygen therapy really only went mainstream in the last half-decade or so. See if he/she knows about that. If not, be prepared to suggest therapies you want to try, and have the doco in hand to back them up. /had to 'train' my GP, who ended up being my best CH doctor ever

Welcome, Chris. What the others have said, and I'm sure there will be other helpful suggestions before the day is finished. Nice talking to you in Chat the other night. Please let us know how your appointment goes, and what approach your neuro suggests as far as treatment goes. Best wishes, George

Ah! The foreigners put on such airs Wearing the tangerine suits And their harlequin eyes. The pain they inspire Draws in harmonica melodies And the feathers of birds Which flame up at their touch. It all comes to light in the sheer Debonair. (Ellen)

Welcome to our madhouse Chris but sorry you have to deal with this horror. Lots of good stuff here though. Good luck with the appointment too. Usually, visiting a neurologist is about as boring a medical appointment as there is but if you get one that "gets" CH. You're probably in. Let us know how it went. Charlie
