My first-ever trigger
« on: Feb 21st, 2007, 8:10pm »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

Ten years I endured this hell not even knowing what it was but always searching, searching for whatever it was might be causing them.  Never found a thing.

Now, fully twenty tears after at least being able to put a name to it and knowing that triggers certainly exist, I've still never even come close to putting my finger on one.  Nary so much as the first hint and at different times I've dropped the most unimaginable things from my diet/daily-regimen/life.

This time round, however, it's different and I can say without fear or favour that a trigger is upon me. I'm sort of happy and sad at the same time in that at least I know what I can avoid but, equally, it means giving in just a little and that rather grates upon my nerves.

Ah, well, it's only happy daze ahead so if you'll excuse me I'll just pop out and make myself a nice, hot cuppa tea.

Regards always to all,

Brian down under.

Dearest Brian,

You had touched my heart once by saying that since we are good friends you would sit with me over a cup of green tea, which you absolutely detest, just because I dont drink beer.

Now this revelation is devastating!

Its time for me to let you know that I would be honoured to sit and drink a beer with/for you any day.

Hugs

Yep, of all things, and it's shaping into one helluva fight.  Just now it's round for round, pound for pound, and we're tied on points but fear not!

Beastie-boy is back in his corner and upping the ante by upping the Kip-factor but my Cope Scale is sitting on 9+ so there's plent of ammo in the old armoury yet.

What!!!  You mean surrender??!!  Fall to my knees and bow my little head so it can be chopped off, stomped upon, battered, burned and buried?

Not while my back-side points the ground, old mate.

Ok, so the Brian tip and chug logo picture stays.  Stay on your feet mate.  I thought a pic of you wrestling a croc now or kangaroo boxing while holding the beer would be more telling.    Wink

Geez, got the sad’s for you mate & understand the threat of pending drought.
God the thought of the end of the day and having to sit down with a milk shake just doesn’t sound right.
I can still remember what it tastes like Oh sigh.
You may like to try stout, it works for me.

Some uplifting news....  For years BEER was a trigger for me. After years of doing without it - I just opened one and drank it one day -- nothing. Now I can drink one occasionally (Im not a really big drinker anyhow). Other alcohol didn't bother me - just beer. But now it doesn't trigger a HA.

So there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Now go have a nice cup of tea... Cheesy
