Cathi, it's in Otsego NY and surrounding towns. Syracuse which is about 30 miles south has only gotten 15 inches, I'm 60 miles south and got nothing. They should be used to it, 2 years ago they got 12 feet in 2 days. right now only about 2 feet a day and it seems to have stopped for now. Lake effect snow, which happens when cold air blows over cold lakes is pretty rare where I live. Remember all NY is a big state, and lesser ( upstate) NY is way bigger than greater NY. Paul

This is my place in Jamestown, NY which is about 200 miles southwest from Oswego, NY. 2 feet or so here. Nothing in comparison to my aunt and uncle who live in Oswego and sent this from their window: More than 8 feet of snow and more coming. Such fun for 81-year old relatives. It's a beautiful sunny but cold day here but not there. Charlie
